I've been using cellar rats for about 6 months now. Always great products with a luxury feel to the packaging. I look forward to my delivery each month to see what different wines I can taste. Wo... See more

What a shame! I thought this was a good idea. I haven't had a bad experience with the customer service, but the wine quality has been awful. Many leaking bottles and others, especially the reds, ferme... See more

A Scam company
It's blatantly a scam company. Order did not arrive and trying to contact them to cancel only to get the most annoying hold music ever before then getting cut off after over 30 minutes. I may have continued this subscription as i liked the idea and if it was a decent service but it's not so don't bother and don't be fooled into giving this a try

I cancelled by subscription but they are still taking money from my account. I have emailed then but had zero reply. Now having to change my bank card.
Cellar rats did correct this so I had no more issues.
To be frank the wine was lovely and packaged very nice, for me it unfortunately was not maintainable in today's financial crisis.
MOVED BACK TO ONE STAR AS GUESS WHAT ANOTHEE 34.99 HAS COME OFF MY CARD!!! UNBELIEVABLE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.Now going to legal action.

Can’t cancel without calling & the number doesn’t work!!
Can’t cancel without calling and the number on their website (+44 7700166633)! DOES NOT WORK!!! Awful company!!!! Avoid avoid avoid!!! Who doesn’t let people cancel a subscription!!! I think I am going to have actually cancel my card or see if my bank will block them! Wish I never signed up for the free trial, it’s not worth it! Haven’t even got to try the wine as it hasn’t even arrived.

Not impressed with the wine
Not impressed with the wine. Very difficult to cancel. I still am awaiting a response. Would not recommend in the slightest.

Seriously concerning company
I signed up for the offer of a free month (paying just delivery) on the 3+ rewards app, and then further deliveries at full price. I never received the first delivery and after several emails I had my account charged £34.99, so blocked the merchant. They got back to me a few weeks later saying they'd cancelled my account, and did refund me the money - but added they'd be re-sending the initial order I never received. They then failed to send this and tried to take a further £34.99 from my account - luckily I'd been so perturbed by the experience that I blocked the merchant via my bank. This is a very concerning company and I regret sharing data and payment details with them. I would avoid.

Brilliant idea, and a great at-home experience!
I didn't know much about wine, so Cellar Rats was a great find, and has helped me discover so many wines I never knew existed. The idea that I can try new wines without committing to full bottles or wasting any wine is genius! The recommendation of what wine to pair with a meal is also a really nice touch.
My personal favourite bottle is Wine No.: 172 (Shiraz, Willowglen, Riverina)
Loved that I could sample it first, and then buy full bottles directly from them.
I have been a subscriber for over 5 months now and not had any problems with the service. The delivery experience is fast and reliable.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family :)
Fantastic wine
Fantastic wine, excellent service and very good value for money.
Difficulties with initial order, some nice wines once rectified.
Updated review following contact from CellarRats.
Ordered an initial subscription box, but delivery person advised us to refuse the delivery as parcel was damaged in transit, was soggy, and bottles had clearly smashed inside - was returned by Royal Mail to Cellarrats, but took some time for refund to be issued, due to difficulties getting in touch via their website contact button - transpires there was an issue with messages being delivered, which they were going to look into. They did replace initial box, which includes some nice wines - tasting cards are a nice touch.

Rats P1ss
Accepted a voucher offer from another company for 6 bottles of wine cheap, turns out theres only 1 glass of wine in each bottle, then they used your card a month later to send you more extortionate wine on a subscription you didnt want, then you cant cancel online and have to ring in business hours, complete con, day light robbery. Avoid Avoid Avoid, reported too bank for fraud.

Avoid like the plague!
You can’t unsubscribe without phoning up. Very, very shady.
Also, they don’t exactly shout about the fact that you’re subscribing for wine that has been decanted into small bottles from full-size ones, so it’s not very fresh.
Edit: in Cellar Rats’ reply they mention the online “help centre” link but don’t be fooled into imagining you can unsubscribe through it! Once you’ve clicked through several increasingly desperate offers it will eventually just tell you to call. To add insult to injury, when you first subscribe, the email says you can cancel “at any time” but no, only Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

I’ve emailed four times about my orders as I got the free two bottles of wine (just pay p&p of £6) I’ve received the sample subscription through Royal Mail two weeks after payment and still waiting for an email or money back for the other order. It’s a shame their customer service is not very good as I would have carried on the subscription.

This is a really cool way to try new wines without having to commit to a whole bottle in case it’s not for you! The wee bottles the wine arrives in are ridiculously cute too. Highly recommend!
Amazing friendly service and products
Amazing friendly service and products. Everyone adores the cute little bottles, they’re so fun and convenient and all the wines we’ve tasted were amazing! Can’t rate highly enough!

Got a free trial with them and some of the bottles arrived smashed up. I sent in a message as there was barely any padding in the wine. No response for over a week. Sent in another message, again no response. Now sat on hold with them trying to cancel the subscription and it's been over 20 mins... absolutely terrible customer service

If you haven’t already try the Cellar Rats blind challenge, great wines and definitely opened up my wine choices. Packaging is awesome too.
Delightful Wine Subscription Experience!
I recently discovered Cellar Rats, and I’m absolutely thrilled with their service! As a wine enthusiast, I’ve been searching for a convenient way to explore different wines without committing to full-sized bottles.
The concept of receiving small wine bottles through a subscription is genius. Each month, I eagerly anticipate my curated selection of unique wines. The variety they offer is impressive – from bold reds to crisp whites and even delightful rosés. It’s like having a mini wine tasting adventure delivered right to my doorstep!
Thanks to Cellar Rats, I’ve discovered hidden gems that I wouldn’t have encountered otherwise. It’s like having a personal sommelier guiding me through the world of wine.
Not disability friendly
Not at all disability friendly. Had a box and then decided to cancel, which you can't do online, as it has to be a phone call!! Due to my disability, I can't make phone calls, so opted to fill out their online form instead. Had an email saying they were sorry to see me go, but they have continued to take my money despite multiple contact attempts!! Even after an order was dispatched, it still would not let me cancel regardless.

Oh I get so excited when I open the door to my postie holding that little brown box once a month, with that recognisable rat on the side...I'm like a kid opening their stocking on Christmas morning 😂🥳
I love opening that posh wax seal and reading the individual tasting cards and feel like a proper grown up when I actually attempt to pair my wines with some of my meals now. It has become a weekend treat for me and the other half.
I have always loved drinking wine, but have also always just stuck to the tried and tested from the supermarket sections. Cellar rats have introduced me to a lot of wines I never would have thought of trying otherwise and I have now found a lot that I will happily buy in future...in full size bottles from them 😜👌🍷
Winning wines!!!
We've been really excited by each one of our boxes. The concept is perfect for us, especially to brighten up week day evenings when you don't want to crack into a whole bottle. The choice of wines for us has been bang on and looking forward to what's next :)
Just finished my third box
Just finished my third box. As someone who usually goes for the same couple of wines, it's nice to try something different and arrives like clockwork every month.
