Celtyn or Seltyn - stay away from either of them
I assume that Celtyn and Seltyn are two names for the same bunch of crooks with a fake company address in London. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. A couple of months ago, I paid $103.95 for a cardigan with a big hole in it and several other faults. I received no replies to my emails to Seltyn. My bank tried to get my money back but I just saw that the credit has been reversed today, so no luck. MINUS STARS FROM ME.
DONT BUY FROM CELEYN
never received the item despite numerous e-mails sent. have contacted my bank to report this.
Fraudulent claims
Do NOT purchase any items from this company. They make fraudulent claims relating to being a UK company. The photos of the shop etc are fake.
This company is China based and it took endless emails to get the address to return the item. Of course the shipping fees were exorbitant massive. Despite claims of full refunds Ihad to settle for a 50% refund.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
The products are of extremely poor company and bear no resemblance to the photos oon the website.
If I could give a minus I would ordered…
If I could give a minus I would ordered two pairs of trainers on 11 august and they have never arrived. Tried emailing and no answer. Do not use thus company !!!!!
Truely awful
Truely awful. Order 2 pairs of trainers on August 7th and no order, contact or response from the company despite my attempts to contact them about getting my order or money back. Dodgy as hell. DO NOT USE!
Dress is awful
Dress is awful. I didn't bother sending it back and was going to use it is a learning experience. However when I realised the dress had a fraying seam down the back I tried to contact the company. Emails bounced back. We have since checked our bank statements carefully and money is going out monthly for small amounts from £2.99 to £ 49.99. Coincidence?! Going straight to bank re fraudulent activity.
Order took ages to arrive and then they…
Order took ages to arrive and then they were too small and not the material that was advertised. They promised to send the correct ones but that was 2 months ago and they’re not replying to my emails any more
Rip off merchants.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
Dodgy business!
I also had a bad experience with this company -the item looked nothing like the picture (poor quality - cheap fabric, no labels etc.). Same issues with lots of emails back and forth - first offering an exchange (rather than a refund), then a 30 percent refund saying I could keep the item, and finally saying they had closed and could not do anything. I raised a dispute with my bank and got all the money back. It took a lot of phone calls and I had to provide documentation of my emails with Celtyn. Contact your bank and they will tell you what to do. Good luck!
Terrible!
I've had the same terrible experience as other reviewers. The clothes are hideous.
For those who claimed through their bank or credit card: did you do so without returning the goods to China? So, without giving Celtyn the chance to honour their promise of providing a refund (which I realise they won't do, but I'm thinking in legal terms here).
Any info would be much appreciated as I'm about to embark on the process.
I previously wrote a review
I previously wrote a review. I have managed to get a 100 per cent refund from Celtyn through my bank and the Mastercard dispute scheme. They” bartered” up to a 50 per cent refund at which point I didn’t contact them and went straight to the bank. The same goods are being sold under various other names too including Rivo London.
Can I give zero “stars”. Total rip off.
Can I give zero “stars”.
Complete and total total rip off.
Crappy quality dresses, completely different from the bogus illustrations, ghastly fabric…all shiny and nasty.
Then the “returns” ha ha ha.
After the ads mentioned being based in London, they finally revealed they are not in the UK, and the postage would be very high. Then we went back and forth about the % of return I would receive, then this morning they’ve messaged that they are closed and all bets are off. They agreed 40%, really??
I should have checked Trust Pilot; I don’t think anything really prepares one for a TOTAL SCAM.
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THESE LIZARDS.
Avoid
Item was too large, but on attempting to return for a refund, they made it extremely difficult. I gave up and accepted a 20% refund because I was going away and realised I had been conned ( chalked it up to experience!!) There seem to be a couple of other companies doing the same thing, unfortunately.
DONT TOUCH!!
Everything possible is wrong/ dodgy about this supposed retailer. No contact is ever made after an order is placed, despite payment being processed immediately. Email is ignored. When goods arrive they are total RUBBISH and only fit for instant disposal. No returns address on cheap packaging. Clothing appears to be made in China with cheapest of cheap fabrics, I.e. Polyester. Even my supposed Woollen Cardigan was made from Polyester/SPANDEX!! HIDEOUS. Had I worn this and passed a spark, I would have caught fire.
Misleading, Dishonest & Poor Quality — A Complete Scam! Review: I bought a dress from Celtyn after seeing their slick Facebook ads — what a huge mistake! I wish I’d checked their 1.4-star Trustpilot
I bought a dress from Celtyn after seeing their slick Facebook ads — what a huge mistake! I wish I’d checked their 1.4-star Trustpilot score beforehand.
They claim to be a trusted UK company with a 30-day refund policy, signed off by two “English” names from London. Total misrepresentation. The dress that arrived was dreadful — cheap, nasty material and nothing like the photos.
When I asked for a refund, I was fobbed off with a 20% offer and a useless credit note. My only other option? Ship it back to China at my expense. After pushing hard and threatening to report them, they grudgingly offered me 50% back — still a rip-off.
Celtyn is NOT a trusted UK company. They are a dishonest Chinese outfit hiding behind a fake British front. Avoid at all costs!
An update on previous post
An update on previous post. I contacted my credit card provider and filled in their fraud form. You need all the emails you had with Celtyn plus evidence of fraud or lies e.g. them claiming they are a couple with a London shop. Credit card have refunded my money and are taking it up with Celtyn. I reckon if enough people do this maybe Mastercard will realise not to deal with them? Anyway I was so cross I wasn't going to just put it down to experience. Another update, since writing this post I have received notification from Celtyn of a full refund with no reference to sending the dress back. Result! Contact your credit card company folks .

Celtyn is a scam!
Celtyn is a scam!! I have just received a dress I brought. The item is not what I anticipated. It does not look like the picture as the fabric is very different. I realise the type of fabric was not listed but from the picture it looked like cotton. The marketing portrays an English business that is closing down, so selling its stock but this is a scam. Labels on the packaging were covered to disguise Chinese writing. Just read other reviews suggesting returns are very difficult to obtain..............
Seems like a scam
Seems like a scam - I ordered a dress from a pop up ad., (foolishly), £100 dress discounted to £25ish. Goods came after a week, from Netherlands. I had read the returns policy, took on board that the return cost was my responsibility, goods arrived made of nasty cheap material so decided to ask for a refund and was happy to return them - (no paperwork arrived with the goods at all). Eventually got in touch with them by email, they refused to give me a return address and suggested I just keep the items or take them to a charity shop, I emailed a couple of times quoting their 'returns policy', they said they would refund some of the cost, which eventually they did. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return address, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that we don't pay for returns.
DO NOT BUY
Like others posting on this website I would give no stars if I could. I purchased 6 items none of which were wearable and bore no resemblance to the photos in the advert. Nothing was labelled and the material was simply awful.
Just wish I had looked at Trustpilot prior to purchase.
It has all the hallmarks of a scam with a false backstory.
DO NOT BUY.
