Long-running tourist scam

Long-running tourist scam. The ticket sellers allow bulk purchases by ‘tour groups’ so almost all of the available tickets are bought immediately after they are released. The tour groups then resell the tickets to tourists at a markup of over 4 or 5 times the actual price. The guide simply reads out some very basic information for a few minutes while you queue inside the building - adding zero value to the experience. No doubt the operators receive a handsome backhander for facilitating this money-making exercise.

Da Vinci would be outraged to see how his art is being used by greedy people to rip off tourists day after day.
