Subtropical paradise pool rapids
Everything was really fun and also relaxing. The only thing wrong with center parcs however is that at the subtropical paradise pool, the rapids were very rough and I got forced about roughly into other people, and the dips were too extreme and I injured my foot slightly.
POLICE NOW INVOLVED....AVOID CENTERPARCS
We have been loyal Center Parcs customers for years, but our latest stay at Woburn Forest was completely ruined on the final day by a disgraceful and aggressive staff member named Jade.
We spent over £3,000 to bring a family of 12 together to celebrate my daughter’s milestone 21st birthday. On checkout day today, a housekeeper named Jade turned up at our lodge at 10:15 AM. She aggressively stated we were meant to be out at 10:00 AM and immediately threatened to call security.
Instead of handling the situation professionally, she actively refused to leave the property. She stayed inside the lodge and attempted to incite an argument with myself and my family.
We have never been spoken to or treated with such disrespect by any member of Center Parcs staff before. To have a wonderful family celebration end with intimidation and hostility inside our own accommodation is entirely unacceptable.
I am lodging a formal complaint regarding Jade’s appalling attitude. Spending thousands of pounds should guarantee a standard of hospitality that Center Parcs completely failed to deliver today. Management needs to address this worker's behavior immediately.

Consider Air B&B for your money
We recently stayed at Elvedon Centre Parcs with our dogs. The park itself is lovely, and the wildlife around the grounds was fascinating to watch, especially for anyone not used to countryside surroundings, which we are.
The lodge initially appeared clean — the beds were made, towels looked fresh, and the dishwasher system gave reassurance that the crockery and cutlery had been hygienically cleaned.
However, there were several issues that let the stay down. Although the lodge was described as dog friendly, the patio area was not secure for dogs. There was only a single tether point and no fencing, meaning there was a real risk of dogs breaking loose or incidents occurring. Because of this, we didn’t feel comfortable sitting outside and only exercised the dogs around the park grounds.
We also found a cracked cup in the lodge, which could easily have become a safety issue if a hot drink had caused it to shatter. The extractor fan in the bathroom was secure but visibly coming away from the ceiling, and the mop left for guests to use was dirty.
The biggest disappointment was the overall standard of cleanliness. At first glance the lodge looked clean, but if you looked more closely, especially upwards, it was clear many areas had not been cleaned properly for quite some time. Dust and concealed dirt had built up on top of doors, in all rooms, but particularly the bathroom door where condensation appeared to cause dust to gather and fall away.
To their credit, Guest Services responded quickly and sent Facilities Services to inspect the issues raised. The cracked cup was replaced promptly, and the dirty mop cloth was removed.
That said, considering the extremely high prices charged for a stay at Centre Parcs, the cleanliness standards should be significantly better. The activity prices also felt excessive, for example, £45 for bike hire was hard to justify.
Overall, a beautiful setting with responsive staff, but disappointing cleanliness standards and poor value for money. We wont be returning.
WOW WOW WOW
Our first ever stay at Center Parcs Woburn Forest and WOW — what an incredible experience from start to finish!
The whole place is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, spotless, and so well organised. The service was exceptional throughout our entire stay. A huge thank you to Patrick the Pool Manager, JJ, David, Emma, and Jess in Guest Services — every single member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.
We stayed in Lodge 673 — a stunning 4-bedroom lodge with 4 bathrooms, 2 jacuzzi bath tubs, a sauna, and games room. Everything was immaculately clean and far exceeded our expectations.
Before arriving, I had read a few negative reviews online, but honestly, please ignore them. Our experience was flawless and completely worth every penny.
We hired a cabana for our full 5-day stay and were offered a great deal. It made the trip even more relaxing and luxurious. The food by the pool was lovely, all the restaurants were excellent and surprisingly reasonably priced too.
We loved absolutely everything — bowling, Puttify, bike rides, woodland walks, and the overall relaxing atmosphere. Everywhere smelt fresh and clean, and the whole environment felt calm, safe, and family-friendly.
4 nights and 5 days of pure relaxation and enjoyment. We left genuinely shocked (in the best way possible!) by how amazing the entire experience was.
Highly recommended! Please do not trust or focus on the negative reviews online — our experience was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we cannot wait to return.
Thank you to the whole Woburn team for giving us such a fantastic first Center Parcs holiday — we will definitely be back!
Over and above service at Woburn Centreparc
Just want to say a big Thankyou to the Maintenance team, in particular Doug and Nichole. Reported a slight problem with the outside tables, and they came and sorted everything out within an hour. Very efficient and both ver pleasant. It’s this sort of service that can make a holiday feel special
Very very very expensive
Overall, we had a nice stay at Center Parcs Woburn. The accommodation/cabin itself was nice, clean and comfortable, and the facilities were good overall. The subtropical swimming pool was enjoyable and the site itself is well maintained.
However, what really let the experience down for us was the cost of everything once you’re there. We already paid a premium for the accommodation, expecting the overall experience to justify the price, but almost every additional activity or meal felt heavily overpriced.
For example, we went to Las Iguanas as a family of three (two adults and a four-year-old) and the bill came to around £77, with drinks like a glass of Coke costing around £5 each. The on-site supermarket was also noticeably expensive, and many of the activities and excursions were difficult to justify because of the cost. We did a couple of activities, but everything quickly adds up.
With one child it already felt expensive, so I can only imagine how costly it becomes for larger families with three or four children. When we looked at the overall amount spent, it honestly felt like we could have gone to Turkey for a week at an all-inclusive resort for a similar price.
Another downside was the timing. Check-in was after 4pm on Monday and check-out was at 10am on Friday, so realistically you lose most of Monday and Friday, meaning you only really get three full days there.
Unfortunately, that left a bit of a sour taste on what otherwise could have been a much better overall experience. Nice location and facilities, but be prepared for the very high prices once you arrive.
60th Birthday Celebrations at Elveden Centreparcs
They think of everything a family with young children could need. There is something for everyone to do and, being my first experience of centreparcs, I was really impressed and enjoyed every minute!
I want to say a big Thank You to Luke who helped me conquer my fears on the zip wire as I went around the course and also Megan who served us in the Sports Bar and gave me a free Birthday drink and she served us with a smile 2 days running! Thank you both! :)
Awful
Awful. Floors were dirty in the accommodation which made my socks black. Rugs and carpets full of stains and spills. Stains on the sheets Shower curtain rail was falling down. Kitchen cupboards all broken. Dishwasher didn't work properly. Outside table was covered in bird poo and filthy outside. The accommodation was covered in cobwebs and dust. The accommodation felt tired and old. Needs a good do over. Not enough changing rooms for the amount of visitors. After being in the accommodation for 1 day a member of Center Parcs staff walked in to our accommodation and asked to put the next lot of clean sheets for the next visitors in the cleaning cupboard which I found very disgraceful as I had only just arrived and they were already preparing for me to leave. I have picked up some kind of virus from Center Parcs too. The water in the lodge tasted very peculiar. Very disappointed for the money I paid! Center parcs Longleat
Dreadful way to treat loyal customers
We have been visiting Center Parcs for well over 15 years, in that time we have spent in the region of £100,000 with the company. And last week they told me they wouldn't honour a £250 gift card they gave us, what a poor way to treat your loyal customers. Very disappointing but in the end it will cost CP far more from lost future bookings.
Visiting over the years!
My husband and myself have been coming to Center Parcs for 35 years! First as a couple, then as a family and now as grandparents! We have had family celebrations there and have made so many memories over the years. The staff are friendly, approachable and, if there is any problems, they do their best to fix it asap! Great place to visit and not just for the kids!
Still on our break in Longleat CentreParcs
Still on our break. Have always loved it here so we brought our friends. My 50th and my husbands 40th. We had our Honeymoon here too.
Really sad that in this break the wave machine didn’t turn on until we left at 2pm, no hot tubs working and the water outside was ice cold ☹️ I love it here so will give it another chance, but after paying what we have I feel disappointed.
Dirty!!
Lodge was dirty on arrival. Filthy curtains. Dirty walls. Dirty windows covered in hand prints. Outside of lodge needed painting and covered in cobwebs. Carpet coming up. Sofa had a hole In. Oven looked like it has never been cleaned. Floors muddy. They only give you enough washing up liquid for one bowl of washing. Activities extremely expensive. Restaurants and bars super over priced. £7.50 a pint. Complained and only received £50 back when our stay was almost £900 for 3 nights.
Crazy prices and too busy to enjoy it
Crazy prices for high street chain food.
Very busy even in the off peak season. The pool/waterpark is impossible to access when busy and unsafe for kids unless you go first thing in the morning for half an hour.
Just bad
We know Center Parc and had been to others before this one.
Everyone gets a different experience but ours was rather poor! First of all, the lodge wasn't clean - it's clearly a rough vaccum and mop with a dirty mop in between tenants. I HAD to clean before we unpacked and my mop was black. The bathrooms had lots of cobwebs too. I know it's in a forest, but it should be clean when you arrive.
A few hours after we arrived, unpacked and went to the tropical pool, we discovered that there were no jacuzzis (they have them in other centers), the main pool is very small and the lazy river is also not long at all so it gets packed very quickly.
We got back to our lodge in the evening to find it absolutely infested with ants all over the floor and inside the food cupboards. As it was late they couldn't send staff to sort it out but offered a spray for the night which took 2hrs to arrive after a few phone calls.
The staff was then schedule to come to the lodge in the morning but didn't show up until after noon. By which time I had missed my treatments appts which was a huge pain to get refunded.
Although I hadn't asked for any compensation, the office called and offered us a £60 voucher as a goodwill gesture which was appreciated. However when we went to collect it and the lady there argued it should be £50 so that's what she gave us.
Also, we had paid extra to be in the middle area of the parc, i.e as close as possible to the Village due to walking restrictions I have, and while they said it would be 10/12 mins max, it was actually over 25mins walk. Don't bother paying extra and just choose your lodge upon booking!
We had a lovely time because we were together as a family and friends but the services and overall experience was pretty bad considering it was 1,5k for the weekend just for a dirty lodge. We also booked a few activities which frankly are very expensive for what it is! The restaurants are good and reasonably priced, and the mini market is also well priced considering it's a convenience shop.
We won't go back there and if we do go back to CP, we will go to Eleveden which is much nicer, bigger, and somewhat better ran.
A very enjoyable stay
The park was tidy with very little litter.
The staff were friendly and helpful to a fault.
The chalet was clean and well presented and heated to comfortable temperature.
Sherwood site terrible virus
We stayed at Sherwood, the lodge was lovely and lots to do, however we all contracted an awful virus and had to leave earlier than expected. I am 7 almost 8 months pregnant and had to be admitted to hospital and placed on a drip as I became so dehydrated, I was so scared I would deliver prematurely. 5 of us stayed and 4 of us became so poorly.
I emailed and detailed this asking for information on when the tap water has been tested as I believe the tap water is what made us so poorly. I am yet to receive a response, very disappointing.
If you go, please do not drink or make ice with the tap water. Keep your family safe and get bottled water and shop bought ice.
Total Rip Off, Stay Somewhere Else
After a massively disappointing stay in a variety of ways (I was so looking forward to my first visit but shocked by the experience) we were offered a £50 discount off a future stay rather than being reasonably compensated. As if we'd ever go back!
This confirmed what I already suspected, they're exploitative rip off merchants and I'm writing reviews anywhere I can to make sure people are at least aware of the fact unlike I was. Everything is completely bang average at extortionate prices and I don't understand the hype.
Very dirty
We have been to centre parcs many times. Great wholesome family get away. We are have been extremely disappointed with how dirty it the lodges are need a good deep clean once in a while. Grubby and tired. They need updating as been the same for over ten years. Quality certainly doesn’t match the price. It’s very expensive yet not updating to lodges.
The baths was disappointing today we walked into the changing rooms to be greeted with a used dirty sanitary towel on the floor. The floors well rotten very very dirty. I did express my concerns with guest services however now response. We have recently been to the Sherwood forests centre parcs and again lodges very dated and tired. I think for the price you pay for a stay you expect a certain level as it isn’t cheap. Very disappointing
