Bugs

Every single time I earn a achievement, I just dont get the achievement, and there‘s a stupid bug that if you dont watch the start of the century tech video you dont get the 100% completion. Also, there was comments from people saying that it was great but it was probably just century self-promoting. I would highly recommend to fix these bugs. Thx XD

dont use century tech

We use this app all the time in maths and science and it's SO irritating. The videos are long and unhelpful, and the slides are not clear and just weird. Sometimes, it's wrong. They said that for exponential growth, you always round down, however that is incorrect. There are also many other inconveniences, such as the fact that you can't restart a nugget while doing it and you just need to skip over all the questions. Also, when you say 'I don't know', it just skips over the question, marking it as wrong, and it doesn't even explain the questions or give the answer. I have been using century for around two years now and I hate it so much.

As you mentioned, CENTURY nuggets contain learning material in the form of videos and slideshows to support you before and during answering the questions. If you find the video too long, you are able to speed up the playback speed by clicking the 3 dots button on the video.
We provide both a video and slideshow to cater towards different learning techniques. These have been created by experienced teachers and should all be relevant and supportive to the questions you are answering.

In regards to suspected errors with the content, if you'd like to share more details with us, please reach out to help@century.tech where our team would be glad to investigate this further.

Nuggets cannot be restarted, as we want to encourage every student to give their best attempt throughout. When you get an answer wrong, CENTURY provides instant feedback as guidance and you have the option to reveal the correct answer. We do encourage you to refer back to the learning material throughout the nugget if you are struggling with the questions.
If you did not achieve your desired score on a nugget, you have the option to try again with a different set of questions. Each nugget contains around 3 alternative questions, to ensure you are being supported with your learning.

The “I don’t know” button is very beneficial for two reasons. Firstly, it allows your teacher to see that you have struggled on that particular question type or topic and can then offer direct support and guidance. Secondly, by clicking “I don't know”, this links to CENTURY's AI and will ensure your pathway will be updated with personalised recommendations to support your learning.

We understand that everyone learns differently, and we are always looking for ways to improve.

Century is useless

Diagnostics don’t even tell you their percentages and don’t let you retry them. They should not be set as homework by teachers if we can’t see the percentage ourselves. It should show what we did wrong.

Teachers will set diagnostics for you based on what you are currently studying in class. The AI in the system will then understand areas of strength and areas for improvement and will provide these recommendations to you via your Pathway.

Regarding viewing the scores for the diagnostics, you are able to view your percentages in your Dashboard in the Overview tab, under ‘Recently Completed' and also under the Courses tab under the ‘Tracker’.

We have purposely chosen not to show whether learners have got a question right or wrong in the diagnostic. This is because questions might appear on topics you haven't studied. Because of this, we do not want you to be disheartened as you complete the questions, as you may get some of them wrong. However, your answers will help kick-start the AI recommendations and your teacher will also be able to provide you with support as they can see your answers.

We appreciate your feedback and I hope this answer provides you with some clarity.

There are two correct answers(checked with two teachers and 3AI) in some questions. I chose one of them and guess what, I got it wrong. Some other questions are also wrong. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. IT IS THE WORST WEBSITE I HAVE EVER USED.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Century Tech. The platform is not intuitive and extremely difficult to navigate. It does not effectively teach or explain mistakes, which makes it frustrating and unhelpful for actual learning. Instead of guiding the student through errors, it simply moves on — leaving major gaps in understanding. Overall, I found it hard to use, poorly structured, and not worth the investment. I genuinely regret signing up and would not recommend it to others looking for meaningful educational support.
I much prefer atom learning.

Videos and slideshows allow learners to go through at their own pace and then test their knowledge using assessment questions. As a misconception is made, feedback is provided to the learner, and they can unlock the correct answer should they wish to learn in this way.
'Test practice' on CENTURY assesses a student's understanding of concepts. It provides questions to apply learned knowledge and can be repeated, and learners can reveal the correct answer once they have attempted the question..
To help you get the most out of CENTURY, we recommend exploring the "Grow and Strengthen Recommendations" feature, which is designed to help address misconceptions and solidify understanding using our AI-powered system.

need improvement

ok so it helps to revise i'll give you that...but the thing makes my computer glitch sometimes and it never moves on from topics. its just makes you do the same thing over and over. Century is so bad

Century is so bad. Diagnostic tests are so frustrating because students naturally want to get 100% (most students, and seeing a diagnostic test score of 55% when you know the content is so frustrating!!!! Furthermore, we cannot go and alter these scores, and we don't even get told what are mistakes are!!!! Which leads me to my next issue. In normal excerises, century will tell you an answer is wrong. But it won't tell you what you do wrong. HOW DO YOU EXPECT US TO FIX OUR ANSWERS THEN?!?! Then answers that make sense that aren't in line with the ai are marked as wrong even though it makes sense. Overall, students have come to dread recieving century hw and it's horrible.

We understand that receiving a score you’re not happy with can be disheartening. However, the purpose of diagnostics is for CENTURY’s AI to assess where you might have gaps in knowledge. Although you won’t receive immediate feedback in diagnostics, the results are used to populate each student’s learning path with nuggets to fill in those gaps, so you can progress more effectively in your studies.

A lot of teachers set diagnostics before starting a topic when not all content has been covered, which is another reason why we don’t share feedback or display results. We also wanted to let you know that teachers can reset diagnostics, allowing you to take them again. This can be a great way to track your progress over time.

Regarding your point about "answers that make sense" being marked wrong, we encourage students to reach out to our support team (support@century.tech) with any specific questions or concerns about their responses. They’ll be happy to investigate any cases where an alternative answer might be considered.

Good Idea, Horrible Execution.

This website... Was horrible to use.
The opening animation slows my computer down to a measly 3fps. Please have an option to disable the animations when first loading into the website.

Doesn't tell you the answers after the test, so I don't know how to improve. Can't go back to previous questions, so if you mistype an answer that you actually knew the answer to, you can't go back to fix it. Not being able to skip to other questions is a strange feature, that should be changed. I couldn't figure out how to retry 'nuggets,' but I'm not the best with technology, so that's on me

In terms of viewing answers after the test, for Mock Test results, you can view your learner’s performance through the stanine score and spider diagram, which shows how they performed in each topic. This is available on the Guardian Dashboard, and you can hover over each topic to see the percentage score.

The dashboard also provides topic recommendations based on your learner's performance. While we currently do not offer downloadable question-level analysis for Mock Tests, we encourage learners to work on the recommended topics to reinforce any areas that need improvement. Regarding your feedback about not being able to return to previous questions, this is because once you have typed an answer, the platform reveals the correct response to provide immediate feedback and aid learning. For Test Ready Nuggets, which do not have the timed aspect, you can reattempt questions with a different set of questions to strengthen retention of the material provided. We encourage you to take advantage of these nuggets to further reinforce learning.

We also understand your concern about not being able to skip questions. Whilst completing nuggets, learners can skip questions by clicking “I don’t know”. During a nugget assessment, it’s possible to return to the learning material during the assessment, as this may help to jog your memory. If after checking the slides or video, you still don’t know the answer, you can click “I don’t know’ in order to ensure that the platform can then recommend appropriate learning.

In the 11+ mock tests, learners have the flexibility to move back and forth through the questions, allowing them to navigate as needed. However, for the ISEB mock test, we’ve designed it to reflect the actual testing experience, where skipping or revisiting questions is not permitted. This is to provide learners with an authentic mock test experience that mirrors the real exam conditions.

For retrying nuggets, learners can browse for specific nuggets in the My Subjects section, select a topic, and filter the nuggets based on the appropriate category (Learn, Bond, or ISEB).

I want to give this 0 stars, but I can't, this is for anyone who is looking to sign up.
There are several valid reasons why schools would consider not utilizing Century Tech.

For one, some students and educators have pointed out that the platform can be highly disengaging. The automated learning process may not be attuned to the different needs of students, and the outcome is a one-size-fits-all approach that leaves students unchallenged and unmotivated. Instead of instilling a love of learning, it has a way of turning learning into a mundane routine.

Second, the financial investment in Century Tech may not pay off as anticipated. Schools tend to have limited budgets, and it is a diversion of funds from more efficient learning materials and programs to invest large amounts of money in technology that does not necessarily facilitate learning in a better way. There are many more learning-outcome-focused and student-engaging options without the expense.

In addition, reliance on technology like Century Tech can reduce the human contact so vital in education. Teachers play a key role in encouraging and motivating students, and an overemphasis on technology-driven solutions can compromise that relationship. Students' emotional and social development can be negatively impacted in the long run.

In conclusion, schools must thoughtfully decide whether to adopt Century Tech, balancing the potential drawbacks in terms of student engagement, investment, and the importance of human interaction in the learning process. Selecting tools that genuinely enhance the learning experience must always be the priority.
As a student, this platform is appalling and all the teachers in my school think this is a horrid platform. SHUT IT DOWN
