They are very deceptive. Charged me 24.99 after I cancelled my subscription. I cancelled it 4 days ago and today they took the money out of my account. Didn't trust this company. I would give them zero stars if I could

Cerebrum IQ is double-charging through sister sites MyIQ and GeniusIQ. I paid for a $1 test and was hit with two $30 charges. MyIQ confirmed they would refund, but GeniusIQ is stalling. Refund me for both immediately or I am filing a formal bank dispute and FTC report.

I have decided to leave my initial review up, as I think it important for others to see my initial issue, their response on here, and then my final experience. So, after messaging Cerebrum, I was messaged back by three different people: James, David and Alex. I have to be honest, these guys were actually super-helpful! At first, every time I sent an email, David responded almost instantly! After toing and throwing, David must have passed it on and I was then contacted by James and Alex. These guys were very helpful and resolved my initial issue. To be fair, I can not fault their customer service - it's actually one of the best I have received! My advice is to reach out to them - they are responsive. Thank you to the three that helped me.

I found this charge on my bank statement.. and I tried to log in.. I have no email linked.. I would like to think this is an honest mistake.

The company fraudulently charged me a 30$ subscription after paying 1$ for the results of my IQ test. DO NOT USE! Read all fine print on all websites.

I paid for a 50 cent test. They then charged my credit card 29.00! I am trying to get a refund. Crickets! This company seems like a scam.

Buyer beware! I took what was advertised as an IQ test about a week ago & was charged a buck. I felt this to be reasonable. However, never in my wildest imagination did I expect to then be charged $24.99 out of the blue yesterday. (I discovered this just now upon checking my checking account.) What a scam! I NEVER, EVER signed up for ANY subscription! Shame on this company! I see that I’m not alone in this. I sure wish that I had read reviews BEFORE giving my husband’s PayPal information, otherwise I would not be in this mess—ugh! I only thought of it after the fact; I feel so duped—double ugh!

I emailed the company for a full refund. We will see what happens. I am praying that this will be resolved quickly, as I don’t have money to be wasting on such nonsense. This company needs to be investigated for illegal practices—pure robbery! 🙏

(02/10/26) Here’s a quick update, folks. I went in circles with this company’s customer service via email. Of course they couldn’t find me in their system, although I gave ALL of the necessary information in order to cancel the subscription. I was assured that I wouldn’t be charged again, since I was not locatable. Naturally I didn’t believe this & contacted my bank. They put a stop payment on the charge, but since I was told that it would take four business days to go thru, I didn’t transfer any funds back into my checking account, as I knew that this devious company would try yet again to charge me since the initial charge hadn’t actually gone thru. (I was never expecting this to be automatically debited, so when the initial subscription amount hit, I didn’t have enough funds, therefore I didn’t pay after all—thank God!) I am glad that I waited on putting money back in, as during that time period, I saw that the company tried to charge me yet again, but it didn’t go thru because I had insufficient funds. I haven’t seen another charge from these predators because the hold is now in place. What a COMPLETE waste of time—between multiple back-and-forth emails to this business & then a couple of calls to the bank (one to place the hold & one to confirm that the hold was in place so that I could put money back into my account in order to pay bills.) I have only written a handful of reviews in my lifetime, & this is the first update, but I felt compelled to share this information in order to possibly save someone from this miserable headache! My wife should have read the other reviews before paying 50 cents for a result, only to be charged a 24.99 subscription fee.
I contacted support, providing images of her PayPal name, account information, and activity page showing she was charged only to get the response “can you provide your wife’s PayPal name and account information” FIVE TIMES!
I don’t even know if I’ll be charged again next month because mysteriously they can not find her account. Total scam

Total Scam!! I did not know I would be charged a monthly $26.00 after paying a $2 fee for an IQ test. I cancelled my subscription and still got charged $26.00. This is a scam. This company is trying to get subscription revenue by fraudulently charging people.

Total scam - they bait you with a cheap IQ test then sneak a subscription charge on you - BEWARE and Avoid!

Horrible experience, autobilling a subscription after paying 1$ for test results. I have now been billed for 30$ without my acceptance or knowledge. Horrible scam company stealing your money, please take your business elsewhere if you see this review.

Company said they reached out to me regarding more details but I have recieved no messages yet and still waiting.

Reached out to them once again via email and havent heard back. Horrible product, its a literal subscription scam with somehow even worse customer service support. Embarrassing.

Edit: Company reached to me and proccessed a refund. Will update once refund is passed succesfully.
