Extremely good insurance to have. My plumbing emergency was dealt with on the same day I reported it. The ‘fix’ was done efficiently and the area left clean and tidy.

Had a wonderful recent experience. They listened, it was easy to ring through and speak to an actual person. They worked around the situation willingly and on the same day resolved the situation for our tennants
The gas engineer turned up and fixed the leak on the boiler and returned it to working order with a temporary fix.
Speedy efficient service. The engineer was polite,friendly and professional.
He did an excellent job and explained everything he'd done to sort out the problem.
A first class job.
Engineer who attended was fantastic. Turned up at allotted time slot. kept us informed was polite and listened to us. He then carried out the repair ensuring the job was finished before he left. even though it was the end of his shift and he had to stay longer.
when i called customer services the call handler was lovely and assisted in every way she could.

Absolutely terrible service. Got a blocked sewer which their contractor only partially resolved on Thursday evening, meaning by Saturday afternoon we had an overflowing chamber cover on the patio. Was promised an engineer visit by 10pm Saturday only for them to be a no-show. Phoned them at 10pm only to be told that the contractor had cancelled at 8pm, but nobody had seen fit to contact me. I was then told nobody could come out now as it was dark! After pressing them I was promised an escalation, but then received a text to say a contractor would be on site some time between 8am and 5pm on Sunday. Not my idea of "escalation". Chased first thing on Sunday morning to learn that "escalation" was actually just give the contractor who'd let us down last night a second chance, and that if I wanted CET to try a different contractor the issue starts over, meaning I could very well then be waiting until Monday. Apparently no way of even checking whether another contractor could respond quicker without gambling away your existing slot - even though, as I learned last night, the slot is still not a commitment. Definitely not my idea of "escalation". Asked the agent at least 5 times whether in my position she would feel like she was getting acceptable service. She refused to answer every time, which speaks for itself.

I am now living in an inhabitable home due to the workmen ship of this company I have no USABLE toilet in my home I will contacting environmental health trading standards and the ombudsman as soon as they open Monday morning I’m disabled and vunerable and need a toilet desperately but I will not sign a disclaimer after the plumber siliconed my toilet to the wall and it’s on tiles just I. Case all tiles come of the wall thankyou in advance for poor quality of workmanship

Call centre staff were helpful. But I was left chasing. This seemed to have been the fault of the contractor. But CET could have chased more . We had no heating and hot water for 4 days. The contactor had to order parts but they should have suppliers that have a better supply of parts.
Fantastic experience. Good communication and job well done for plumbing and pest control - both managed well with competent workmen (hopefully, as only time will tell).
Emergency plumbing service was fast, efficient and fixed at first visit. Ross was super knowledgable and a great credit to his company and Direct Line.
Philip was very professional and knew exactly what was wrong with the boiler. He fixed what he could straight away and explained what was wrong with the boiler. He then ordered the parts and fixed the boiler in 2nd visit. Very happy with the service.

My boiler is not fixed over 15 days now. After so many phone call engineer came on 16th March and within an hour a boiler stopped working. Called centre again go booked on 17th March and no show from engineer after calling again to call centre (no courtesy of customer of inform me) they said appointment is now moved to next day. 16 days to fix emergency and still counting.
