Easy to find Stereo-lithograph files…

Easy to find Stereo-lithograph files and speedy download. Lots of detail and good supports already in place. Just experimenting with layer thicknesses and resin types at the moment. Fantastic site for model rail roaders and anyone else who is into dioramas. Very reasonable prices, so a great way to build rolling stock as well as stationary features.

Creativity at its best!!!!

For one reason, when I pick an artist you tell me if he works direct or not which is very good to know up front.
You have very talented artist on your site.
Love the ease of use that's for sure.

The product is great

The product is great! Looks professional, service is professional, and the process is quick. I ordered the labels for perfume bottles and lotion bottles. I received a proof of what the label would look like; however, when I received the labels I was so excited because it was better than imagined.

"I'm really drawn to CGTrader

"I'm really drawn to CGTrader for its unique resources, which are hard to find elsewhere. I primarily prefer email, but I'm happy to chat by phone too. My passion is character animation, and I'm eager to use my modeling and animation skills to fill current content gaps. I'm looking forward to giving a five-star rating once I see how well the program aligns with my needs."

Dishonest sellers…

Customer service is quite responsive and helpful. Also, I like FBX quality check procedure. Since FBX is very important interchangeable format. If FBX format of a model is flawless, then definitely everything is OK with the native file.

The only thing I don't like in CGTrader is dishonest sellers. When you live honest review about the model that you purchased, instead of communicating with you and trying to solve the problems, they remove the model from the stock and then re-uploading them as a new stock (sometimes with a higher price). Thus, showing their disrespect to the customer. I think CGTrader should develop some procedures against such frauds. For example, reviewed models can be revised but can not be removed and re-uploaded as a new model.

An nice library for 3D models.

An nice library for 3D models.
In comparisson to Turbosquid I tend to chose CGT 50% which means quite a lot!

There have been some issues with files containing bad scripts. Or files containing wierd topology or no textures. In that case you are on your own and have to talk to the maker directly. Do not expect much from support there.

So to all reading this.. check the files and read the description super carefully, before you buy or use them in production and make sure you have everything in place to protect yourself, because they will not issue a refund in such an event.
There is not much help from support there.

They will even possibly tell you there was nothing wrong ... no malicious script and then fix the upload the next day.

So buying is a bit of a gamble sometimes, and their payment options sometimes fail, apart from PayPal which works best, but in general; I'm happy with the content and the service. There are many good models for a fair price.

Just don't be too picky.
If you want to be sure if the quality and have premium support. Chose Turbosquid.
I will still continue to use the service even though there were some less nice experiences

Cgtrader is shit company with selfish Earn

I had bad feeling after low rate payout for 3d design seller. this company is get popular from support our designer and why you drop rate payout to low. I really disappointed this company. If have other option like block account i will block my account and stop sell from this website, and if have other company that competition with this website i will support, i want to see this website is down. Owner this website is really selfish he cut from seller almost 40% from their sale. Is it fair or not?

Terrible Experience – Broken Payment System & Zero Support

I had an awful experience with CGTrader.

I tried to connect my Payoneer account to receive payments, but the system kept showing an error: "It looks like you've already submitted your Payoneer application." Meanwhile, CGTrader kept telling me to reconnect — a complete loop with no way out.

I contacted support multiple times. No reply. No help. Just silence.

This is not just frustrating — it's unacceptable. As a seller relying on timely payments, being completely ignored while your platform blocks my ability to receive earnings is disgraceful.

If you’re going to run a platform that handles real people's money, the bare minimum is working payment methods and actual customer support.

Totally disappointed. Not recommended.

UPDATE – June 4
After finally being able to connect my Payoneer account properly, now I get a "Payee does not exist" error — even though I’ve provided correct and verified Payoneer information.

The agreement page says: “Your Payoneer account was successfully connected” — but at the same time, payout still fails with a Payee error. That’s a complete contradiction and obviously a broken system.

Your support bot is totally useless and doesn't offer any actual solution. Last time it took 9 days to get a reply via email. I really hope (🤡) I’ll hear back sooner this time(!)

Your platform is handling people’s money — this kind of broken payment system and slow support is absolutely unacceptable.

Totally disappointed. Not recommended.

My CGTrader account email has already been shared directly with your support team.

Reply from CGTrader

Hi there,

We are sorry for your experience with us.

To clarify we have responded to you within the timeframe mentioned on our site. As for the payment agreement, after each edit, it is being sent for review, which can take up to a week. When an agreement is in review, the old error will be displayed along with a text message informing you that the agreement is being reviewed. It seems you interpreted this as a new error and continued to edit your payment, thus significantly postponing your agreement review.

Currently, I see that your agreement is verified and there are no active errors. We are sorry the inconvenience

Don't sell you models here

As a long time seller I am deeply disgusted by the latest move from CGTrader. I have over many years earned my way to get a 76% pay rate but today they announced a new pay rate system that essentially cuts my rate all the way down to 63%. At this point they pretty much have monopoly so they know they can get a way with something like this. And spare me the "this is better for artist" speech, this is NOT better for anyone than the owners wallets and they apparently care 0% about the artist who helped them 'build-up' this platform where I have been selling for more than 10 years. I hate that I have recommended other artists selling on this site and going forward I am not adding any more models.

We need improvements

I love this stock as a buyer, because I can find a lot of free models or models with a good discount. However, as a buyer, I'm upset by a certain chaos in the source files. Different authors have completely different approaches to preparing the product.

For example, uploading the product is either a set of various source files, or a single archive. I would like to see some unified system in this.

As an author, I also love this platform, but I would really like to see regular improvements and modern tools for authors, since I’m unconditionally giving 1/3 of my income to the platform.

1. I want a licensing tool. Ready-made templates of different licenses, price separation depending on license type.

2. Clear guidelines for product page setup. I want my product to look presentable, and for that the site grid must be designed so that the main image of my product isn’t cropped and looks consistent everywhere. I’d like to have visual separation of screenshot albums that could be custom arranged. For example, 1 album only with renders of the model, that can be flipped through on the search page before visiting the product page. 2nd album with renders of the model inside scenes, so people can see how it looks in use. 3rd album with technical details. Ideally, the album carousel should be looped, because right now you have to scroll back, and the carousel overall is quite outdated.

3. Working with discounts. The platform runs constant sales, but doesn’t let you control which products are discounted. Either all products are discounted, even new ones, or random ones by topic. I’d like authors to have more control over which product and what discount to apply. But in order not to lose the benefit of global sales, there should be a separate option that allows the platform to apply an extra discount for a big sale event.

4. Reward system. Right now there is a reputation system, but it’s outdated. I’d like something new and more relevant with rewards, but in a way that gives a wider variety of benefits. For example, product or author of the week, chosen based on sales + reviews. If an author gets into the top, then with that product they can’t appear in the top again for a few months, so it gives a chance to new products.

5. Review system. Users are very reluctant to leave reviews. That means something in the UX is weak. Probably the review should be more structured — maybe in the form of a questionnaire, where the buyer is given 2–3 options like “Great - Okay - Bad”, and questions like “Rate the model quality”, “Rate the textures”, etc. So the buyer doesn’t have to write the review manually, and for example the review text is generated by AI, and the buyer just agrees with the generated text. The actual text isn’t as important as displaying the ratings in a convenient format, and showing a summary of all reviews.

I’d also add motivation for the buyer — if they leave a review, they get a discount coupon from this author in the form of a percentage of the purchased product. For example, if the product costs $15, the buyer gets an auto-applied coupon of 10% from those $15 — that’s $1.50 — for the next purchase from this author, if the product is the same price or higher. Or a general coupon from the platform for a product of the same category, valid for a couple of days and not stackable with other discounts.

Yes, the platform had some kind of point system, but it was unclear and didn’t work the way we’d like.

6. Fair commissions. Back to discounts. Yes, my product ends up on the special page, but practically every product does, since many authors have discounts enabled. I, as an author (again, I can’t control which products go on sale), lose 50% on the discount, and still the platform takes the full commission. As a result, from $20 I get only $7. And I’m not even sure the buyer came from the discount page or bought it because of the discount — this product sells perfectly well without discounts too. So on top of the discount, I still pay full commission to the platform. I’d like to see fairer sharing of the discount and more action from the platform in return for me offering 50% off.

7. Pricing system. I really want a tool for price separation — both by license type and by product type. For example, I’m selling a bundle. I want to be able to sell not only the full bundle at one price, but also, for example, sell just the mesh for a separate price (which is great for models meant for 3D printing but not prepared for it, where no textures are needed), or sell individual items from the bundle (e.g. I have 10 models, and the 3 most popular ones I want to sell separately, so the buyer doesn’t have to buy the whole pack), or sell just the low-poly versions if there are high-poly ones as well.

That’s not even all. As an author giving 1/3 of my income to the platform, I want to see regular improvements in return. thx!

I'm new to 3D printing and downloadable…

I'm new to 3D printing and downloadable files. CGTrader has an impressive variety of items available in all price ranges. I feel product descriptions can be vague. So far, I'm having trouble with just one of the files I bought and downloaded. This is, probably, more my problem than file issues. CGTrader is definitely my recommended source for 3D printing.
