Great Bike, great people, great company!

Bought a Vintage 3-speed from Chappelli - got it sent to NZ and assembled at a local bike shop. Bike is amazing (great quality and aesthetics) and the Chappelli people were very friendly and communicative throughout the whole purchasing process.

Helmet purchase

Purchased on line. Went to collect and I had ordered the wrong helmet. This was immediately rectified and I left within 5 minutes with the perfect helmet.

I love my bike

I have a DaVinci with an internal gear hub. I chose it based on looks and because I love the way the gears support my stop-start commute. It's a gorgeous bike.

The downside of the gear hub is the weight. The bike weighs about 12kg which is fairly normal for a bike in this price range, however I always feel a bit regretful when I hop on my partner's bike which weighs about 10kg and zooms me along faster. Saying that, his bike was much more expensive and is not nearly as cool, so if I had my time again I probably make the same decision and go with the DeVinci.

I would recommend Chappelli Cycles to anyone considering the purchase of a superbly designed, beautifully built and well priced bicycle.

After deciding to explore the possibility of purchasing an urban/commuter bike with classic styling cues to provide an alternative riding experience to that of my Scott 29er mountain bike, I came across the Chappelli NuVinci on Bike Exchange.
I subsequently visited the Chappelli Workshop/Showroom in Collingwood and explained my requirements to the extremely helpful staff. I was encouraged to test ride three bikes of different configurations. It was then I decided on the Chappelli NuVinci.
I have now had the bike for nearly a month and just love it's style, quality, comfort and of course, the superb and seamless function of the NuVinci hub.
I could not recommend Chappelli Cycles and their professional service more highly.

Beautiful Bikes

Beautifully made bike and really easy to ride (and to look at).. I've just spent the last 2 weeks trying to work out how I'm going to take mine back to England with me when I leave!

My one stop shop !

Chapelli cycles for me is a culture. A brand that represents quality, style, education and sophisticated simplicity!.

Service is always good and always accessible. Whenever I am asked where I have purchased a particular accessory I always say that I do all my purchases from one shop. Advice is always genuine and informative. What makes it even better is the consistent element of chillness that permeates through the whole company. I am saving up to buy my next bicycle from Chapelli. I have already made a selection. Now time to zip...

Hub gears

I just love my hub gears. I love my retro blue bike. I have named it "Vera". It is light and gives me a very smooth ride. The seat is very comfortable. I travelled to Chappelli Cycles shop from Canberra to test ride it, and it was delivered in just a few days. Chappelli gives great service. I was very impressed by the guys there.

Lightweight, stylish bike

I bought my vintage three speed bike from Chappelli in Botany about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. The team ordered my preferred color when it wasn't in stock and had the bike assembled when I arrived to pick it up the next weekend. I'm female and 5'6" and the small "men's" frame has been a perfect fit. It's designed elegantly and has given me a smooth ride to work every day. I'd recommend these bikes to anyone!

Good bike reasonably priced

Decent bike for the price point. I certainly recommend them. Some issues with the assembly however. I had to retighten/adjust several of the parts after buying. Not a big deal and I've had no issues since.

Almost but not quite

I love my bike, the look of it and riding it, the service was mostly friendly, attentive and knowledgable. However the second time I took it out on the road, because the bolts on the basket were not tightened (at all it seems) it swung 180º on it's central pivot and dumped my possessions all over the highway. I'd still recommend a Chappelli bike but more quality control is needed before the bikes leave the store.

Bern Macon Helmet

I found communication poor from the Sydney branch. Firstly it was hard to speak with any one, once I managed to, I was told the helmet in my preferred colour was on order. However when I called back third time after not hearing anything for 2-3 weeks, I spoke to a different person who advised me that the colour I ordered was actually no longer available, he offered me a alternate with free delivery due to the inconvenience.

Quality personalised customer care

I view Chappelli Cycles as a high-standard, somewhat artisanal brand. The service extended was fully attentive and catered to the my (the customer's) personal needs. I am a petite cyclist, and had the springy saddle of my Chappelli bike replaced with a flat one to better accommodate my comfort.
