This was our first time using Charity Auctions. The event was seamless and very successful for our organization. Reporting was easy and allowed us an accurate record of all participants and winners

The site is so easy to use and the team were so supportive during the process and also with publicity for the auction item which we were delighted to sell. Their amazing social media manager Kelly, created promotional reels about our charity which they shared across their social media platforms to give us more exposure and even followed up with more reels following the auction ending for which we are so grateful. We have used Charity Auctions for years and have found them to be very helpful in setting things up, and helping us to have a successful auction. The interface is easy to use, the fees are affordable, and the customer service is excellent.

Pros:
Could access different auction performance and metrics
Could use multiple category tags (great for auction items that could be searched under multiple categories)
Minimal changes to website from year-to-year made platform consistent and easy for us to use and pick-up where we left off from the previous year

Cons:
Bidding page user interface felt outdated (fonts and color scheme)
While an auction item image could be optimized for view in desktop mode, this became moot when switching over to mobile view
No designated space/page to communicate extra details to bidders other than embedding the text into the graphic of the banner we uploaded
Changes to payment on the bidder’s end was made on CharityAuctionsToday sometime between January 2024 and January 2025. We were not aware of this change, which caught us and our bidders by surprise. It would have been if the platform highlighted these subtle changes year to year for us to be aware of

Helpful, responsive, and easy to use. The platform made managing our auction simple and efficient.

We've been using this site for years, and appreciate the customization and ease of use. Even as a new user, there is great customer support and helpful insight along the way as you're building your auction site. Between automated 'outbid' notifications and stress free billing/payments, this continues to be our go-to platform!

We’ve been very happy using Charity Auctions and honestly find it to be one of the strongest platforms we’ve worked with. From our perspective, it feels polished, professional, and extremely user-friendly, which is important for both our team and our bidders.
Some of the things we especially love:
• The professional look and feel of the platform, including the ability to recognize and highlight our sponsors
• How easy it is for our staff to input, update, and manage auction items
• Smooth, worry-free billing. The automatic checkout at the end of the auction is a huge relief
• The bidder experience, especially the text notifications when someone is outbid, which really helps keep momentum going
• The slideshow/photo feature, which works nicely for showcasing items
Overall, it’s a platform we don’t have to “babysit,” which allows us to focus on fundraising and engagement instead of troubleshooting, that’s incredibly valuable to a small nonprofit like ours.

Whenever we had questions, your team responded promptly, which made the entire process even smoother. Overall, it was a great experience, and I plan on using Charity Auctions again next year.

We have used CharityAuctionsToday for 3 years for our silent auction for our charity golf event. After using the service this year, we discovered an extra .7% charge taken from all of our items, in addition to the normal percentage they take. On researching this, we discovered that this .7% fee was listed in only one place and was not included on their pricing page. This is in addition to the normal percentage they take. Why the additional fee, and why not list it clearly on your pricing page? They also have added a fee for sending texts to golfers through the system, including several that were free in prior years. Sadly, we feel that we can no longer trust this vendor and will be using a different vendor in the future.
