I bought a Rattan Peel Dog Basket and Mattress Set for my 7 year old cockapoo who loves to destroy conventional dog beds. The order arrived very quickly, well wrapped and in perfect condition. The bed is beautiful, and well made. The mattress is thick and luxurious. He was straight in it for a snooze as soon as it was unwrapped. The big bonus is that he hasn't tried to destroy it, I would highly recommend.

Having contacted CC customer service regarding their snuggle bed material, I can confirm a level of ‘no interest and couldn’t care less’ attitude regarding my query about it The material looks absolutely awful after washing it correctly. This is after a few washes. Too expensive for such poor material that does not wash at all well. I have since purchased from another company. Don’t waste your money.

ordered a bed online which looked very high quality — especially given the high price. I live in Dubai and even paid an additional £50 delivery charge, which I thought was worth it since the pictures and videos on their website made the product look beautiful.
However, when I received the bed, I was very disappointed. The fur color was not cream white as advertised, but instead a strange yellow shade. I immediately contacted the company, but instead of offering a solution, they argued that the product was the same as the pictures, just taken under different lighting.
Their “solution” was to let me return the bed at my own expense — with a quoted shipping cost of over £100, which makes no sense. They were more focused on defending themselves and talking about how they’ve been in business for 15 years rather than resolving the issue.
This experience shows they do not know how to handle international customers properly. If you encounter a problem, their attitude is essentially “tough luck.” I do not recommend them — look for a better alternative.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT ANOTHER SMALL RATTAN BASKET (TO AVOID SQUABBLES AMONG ELDERLY MOGGIES WHO LOVE THEIR CHARLIE BASKETS AND BLANKETS BUT ARE NOW UNWILLING TO SHARE). WHEN ORDERING THE BASKET, ONLINE, I FORGOT TO INCLUDE A MATTRESS. I RANG THE FOLLOWING DAY (JAN 3rd) I HAD TROUBLE GETTING THROUGH BUT EVENTUALLY SPOKE TO CHRISTINE. SHE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL.
MY LOVELY BASKET AND MATTRESS ARRIVED THE FOLLOWING DAY. I KNOW THEIR PRODUCTS ARE EXPENSIVE BUT QUALITY LASTS AND AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED IT IS MONEY WELL SPENT, AND IF MY 20 YEAR OLD KITTIE COULD , I KNOW HE WOULD AGREE.

I stumbled upon Charley Chau whilst on a hunt for a replacement dog bed mattress. Needless to say I couldn't find what I wanted so decided to buy replacements mattresses and covers from Charley Chau, I also ordered the waterproof mattress protectors. What Impressed me about these dog bed mattresses was their construction which should prevent them becoming lumpy-bump like the old one did. The mattresses arrived promptly and well packaged with a little note telling me the protectors had been fitted and the mattresses were ready to be used. The order also came with a hand written postcard thanking me for the order. Most impressive about this company is their customer service and the fact that their products are British made. What's not to like! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic products & customer service
I have just purchased a Bliss Bed and Faux Fur blanket for my dog, who is recovering from a major operation, and I could not have been more impressed with the product and customer service. I actually made an online enquiry directly to Charlie Chau first, and then almost immediately happened to notice their products were available on notonthehighstreet.com, so I ordered the bed and blanket. Charlie Chau then replied to my original enquiry - also very quickly - and noted that I’d placed an order that was slightly different to the one I’d enquired to them about, and was I aware of that. They then helped me to change the order slightly (type/colour) so that I could get the order nice and quickly for my poorly dog. Their intervention was really helpful - and they clearly have a good relationship with notonthehighstreet.com who then despatched the order very quickly, and both items arrived well packaged a few days’ later, which I was so impressed with. The bed and blanket are superb. My dog’s been in the bed for several hours this afternoon and I’m currently sitting with her on the blanket, which is indescribably soft, perfect for my dog who has a very large wound on her tummy. I am so grateful to both notonthehighstreet and Charlie Chau for their helpful and friendly service, and thrilled with the products I have purchased. I would highly recommend.

AVOID. Poor quality product, too small for male whippet who can not turn around in it. After 2 weeks looks shabby, waste of £200.

Great bed. Got the velour in cloud. It came promptly is great quality and my working cocker Lyla loves it especially in this cold weather.

I have purchased many different brands of dog beds historically for my Whippet and Spaniel - both cheap and expensive - and nothing compares to the Charley Chau beds.

A lovely warm and chic dog blanket, which is an attempt to restrict our spaniel to one part of the sofa only! So far, so good - she loves it. Delivery was incredibly prompt, too.

I purchased the winter warm snuggle bed for my dachshund in size medium, she is 7kg. The bed is far too small - the edges of the bed taper down to the sides, which make the usable space smaller in reality than the measurements. It also feels cheaply made and absolutely not worth £135. I would say maybe £40 max. The base is a basic cushion and not suitable for use as a proper bed - I think it would really only work as an occasional day bed for a very light dog. The demonstration videos are with a small miniature greyhound and that is the type of dog the bed is suitable for.

Bought a large day bed recently and when it arrived I immediately thought it looked smaller than I expected. When measuring it, I found it to be 4 inches short on the width and 2.5 inches short on the length. Thinking there had been an error I contacted Charley Chau only to be told that the measurements are taken from the sizes that the covers are BEFORE the filling of the bed is put in. I replied to say that I felt this was very misleading and that surely the most important consideration when picking a size is the actual size of the sleeping surface the dog will have, not what size the cover used to be without any filling but I did not receive a reply. The quality of the bed was fine but I will be going back to Collared Creatures beds again, better quality bed filling, better customer service and true to size. I only went for this because I didn’t need an attached cover.

See the quality and the customer service is second to none. This is what shopping should be about. I bought the fur grey/blue throw it’s really good quality, thick, puppy and I love it and looks good too.

Shopping with Charley Chau is always a pleasure. The products are 10/10 - do not be put off by the price. They last better than any beds, I’ve never had to replace one yet and my dogs have not been able to break into any of them (a fate every other bed, including expensive brands, has failed). They wash incredibly well.
