After discovering my electric fireplace had stopped working, I contacted C&J customer services. From the first call I had with Nathan, right through to the day my fire was fixed by Andy, my experience was exceptional.

I hope m fire will now work for years to come without the need to contact C&J, but if I do need to, I am confident they will look after me well again.

The quality and build of your stoves are very important to us. The supplier being Brettell Lane Stoves and Flues Ltd were so helpful and made it easy to choose such a great looking quality stove. We are delighted and can’t wait to try it out .

After the fire had been in two years and worked quite well it suddenly stopped drawing air. I had the chimney cleaned but itvmade no difference. My supplier contacted Chatlton and Jenrick who tool my email but didn't get back to me. I called back and gave my email and they didn't bother to get back. Not interested in helping me in the slightest.
I would say arrogant in the fact I've bought it and they don't feel the slightest responsibility to help me even with a bit of advice. I would advise don't buy one you can't get to the moving parts of the fire as they care underneath and there is no legs or space to get at them. Get one where you can access the moving draft plate and get one from people who are glad of your custom rather than arrogant and dismissive. Our supplier was surprised at just how obvious they made it that they didn't give a toss as though we were idiots. So beware there are plenty of good fires out there this firm don't make em or at least ours is shite

The fire is the centre piece of my living room, I’ve got a new fire as winter’s seem to be getting cold and longer, this gives me the option to warm my room without using the central heating, the lads came and got on with then job, they talked to me and they fitted the new fire, cleaned up, demonstrated using it, and explained the warranty process

Very noisy fan and ridiculously cheap sounding crackle effect.
We have had this fire for several months now, and when we first bought it I contacted the company about the extremely loud fan when it is being used as a fire and not just a decorative feature. They were disbelieving and asked me to send a video. I took a video but the noise didn't come out too well, and I just didn't send it in. I forgot about it as we didn't really use the fire much, but when we have tried it out recently it is so annoying that we are unlikely to use it as a heating device. Very poor for such an expensive fire, surely they could have done better. Another gripe is the crackle noise effect. It is laughably amateurish. It sounds like they Googled 'crackling fire' and recorded it from their laptop. It is pathetic. Also some of the flame effects are poor. It looks fine when not in use, and from a decent distance the flame we have chosen doesn't look too bad, but when sitting opposite the fire you can see yourself in the mirror which is the back of the fire - something we didn't consider but would probably have put us off we had realised.

Love the fireplace, delivery was super fast, it looks fantastic in my room, certainly a focal & talking point.

Every thing was on time and fitted very well the winter will tell on efficiency looks wonderful the workmen were brilliant 0

We needed to find a replacement for our existing gas fire and visited the fireplace factory who were very helpful and once we had decided on the Paragon version for a “hole in the wall” installation we ordered the fire we wanted. We were very pleased to be advised that the fire was in stock and could be delivered and installed within 9 days.

The men that installed the fire and fireplace where friendly, polite and efficient. they respected my property and left it clean and tidy when they left. The fire looks great, so I am very pleased.
