Avoid – Just a Middleman for SpurNow

We had a demo with ChatSmart and initially thought their WhatsApp solution looked promising. But after digging a bit deeper, I discovered they don’t actually own the platform — they’re simply reselling a third-party service called SpurNow.

Out of curiosity, I contacted SpurNow directly and was shocked to find their service costs just $60/month. Their support team helped me set up my abandoned cart flows within minutes, and I’m already generating solid revenue from it. Anytime I need a new flow, their support handles it quickly and efficiently — no need for a pricey “agency”.

ChatSmart, on the other hand, quoted me £1,300 for setup and £300/month ongoing, just to act as a middleman for a platform they don’t even own. They’re leveraging someone else’s product and adding on an outrageous markup for what seems like minimal effort.

If you're considering ChatSmart, go directly to SpurNow and save yourself a lot of money. You'll get the same — if not better — results without the inflated price tag.

EDIT : I never mentioned I was a customer. I said you provided a demo to us and when we looked deeper into the platform and the credentials in the settings you were just using spurnow. I have no affiliation with them just pointing out that you do not have a custom platform but simply use a 3rd party platform which is the truth.

Hi Amber,

We believe in transparency - which is why we need to clarify that you are NOT a client of Chatsmart.

We have no record of any demo, contract, or communication with you, and therefore, your review appears to be misleading and factually incorrect.

For the record:
👉 Chatsmart does not resell any software. We have built and operate our own proprietary WhatsApp marketing platform, tailored for e-commerce brands in the EU and UK.
👉 All of our services - from WhatsApp API setup to automation flows and customer support - are delivered in-house by our own team.
👉It’s hard not to notice how promotional your review sounds - it gives the impression you might have some affiliation with the software mentioned.

While we welcome honest feedback, we believe it’s against Trustpilot’s guidelines (and basic ethical standards) to post a fake review without being a customer.

We’ve reported this review for further investigation.

Thank you,
The Chatsmart Team

Stay Well Away......

This so-called company is essentially a one-man operation run by Reynard, who merely piggybacks on another company's platform—Spur—to conduct WhatsApp campaigns and flows. Within just days of onboarding, they managed to get my WhatsApp account flagged by Facebook due to bombarding my customers with massive amounts of unsolicited spam.

To make matters worse, their exorbitant €2,000 onboarding fee only gets you basic flows that Spur already provides out of the box. They aggressively push for a revenue-sharing model, which I strongly advise against agreeing to. Avoid these cowboys at all costs.

If you are reading this go directly to spur and onboard directly with them for $51/month and save yourself the hastle.

Rude and disrespectful woman hater

Spending a lot of times on sales calls i would have to say this was quite a unique and bizarre experience….

The owner (as they are a one man band) came on a call and was abusive to my marketing director, repeatedly questioned if she had any decision making abilities. Seeming in refusal to believe a young lady could make any decisions.

After watching the call back i was appalled by his attitude towards my staff, needless to say wont be using his services. From the lack of reviews (other than the one that i would assume be placed by him given there is no others ) i suspect i may not be the only person to have experienced this.
