Apalling customer service - do not use!
We booked car parking at stansted through cheap.co.uk, and were amazed at their prices. Then we found out why they were cheap. The information in the email bore no ressemblance to what to happened - we were told to expect a 'livvered' (sic) driver, and told to go to short stay parking. In fact, a bloke in jeans was waiting for us at the drop-off point. Due to the incorrect information from the email, we had had to pay £3.00 to be in short stay for exactly one minute. We were told we could get a refund. More false information.
We had booked to return at 00.30 on the given date (allowing for delays), but then amended this to 23.30 with the driver, who changed the paperwork and assured us we need do more. On the return date, an extremely rude and charmless man from the office rang, and very rudely me told I would have to pay an excess, they had not noted the change of time, that any amendments need to be done online, that I was stupid to have gone into short stay parking.
I asked why there was a discrepancy of information, why his colleague noted the change of time, and did not tell me it needed to be done online, and got only rudeness in response.
I then was able to change the time (still down at 00.30 for the next day), over the telephone - not online.
This company is extremely unprofessional, and while the drivers are pleasant, the company has no consistency of information, and the attitude of the office staff is unelievably bad.
Do not be tempted by these prices - I feel I have been treated unfairly (ripped off, actually), and spoken to in the rudest way imaginable. Stay away from this firm.
