The meals I have had were great
The meals I have had were great. I find many of the meal choices very repetitive, and the ones I really would like to try have a large additional cost per serving attached so I find my options limited. I also wish I could see the discount emails that are sent before accepting them

Really disappointed with both the customer service and subscription model. I used a coupon to try their meals for a week, but it wasn’t clear that I was signing up for an ongoing $100/week subscription. I never received any advance notice that my card would be charged—only an email after the cancellation deadline had passed, when it was too late to make changes.
To make matters worse, the links in that email didn’t even work to update or cancel the order (yet they seem to function fine in all their other emails). I’m currently traveling and won’t even be home to receive the delivery, but despite reaching out three days in advance of the delivery, they refused to cancel, offer a refund, or even provide a credit. The only suggestion was to have a neighbor pick it up and they couldn’t do anything else…

Listeria Contaminated Food
The very first box I received from them had cheese that was contaminated with Listeria. A bacteria that causes listeriosis (potentially fetal disease in some cases). I wrote them an email about it and have not gotten a response back.

During one of our routine safety & quality tests, we identified the presence of Listeria in specific cheese ingredients from one of our suppliers. We have directly contacted customers who may have received these ingredients and advised them to immediately discard the product.
They overcharge without telling
They overcharge without telling the extra cost when you order it. Customer service is horrible. Some of the vegetables are super small and close to be rotten. Most recipes are cheap meat. Horrible experience.

Chefs Plays is awesome!
We have had probably 3 weeks of meal kits at this point, and every one has been fantastic. There are a couple that stand out as exceptional, but I can honestly say that we have not had one that we disliked.
