Here's the latest buzz...
It's a great sous vide machine. Android software works great. The unit was silent the first use. Since then it has developed the same buzzing sound that many others have mentioned.

Wonderful!
I love Joule! It's a true game changer and opens up a culinary world previously inaccessible to newbies like myself!

Love my Joule!
I was a bit of a nervous beginner when I first received my Joule sous vide circulator. But I have now used it for many dishes and everything came out better than I could have imagined. The recipes on the ChefSteps website are very helpful but I am now confidant about converting my extensive recipe collection for the Joule.

Great product and software, white top model is a little janky
Great product and software, but my top/light fixture broke after a few days.

Joule works perfectly!
Joule works perfectly and I have had no issues at all with it. I love the small size and quick and accurate heating and it sits solidly in a pot with no clamp needed. The app is slick and fun to use and will become more useful as more content is added. Some changes I would like to see are:
1. Allow for controlling without a phone, perhaps by utilizing a separate simple stand alone device (I do appreciate the small size of Joule and understand the lack of buttons helps to keep it small).
2, Add a function to automatically stop after a set amount of time.
3. Let me use the app on my phone without automatically trying to connect so that I can review recipes while away from Joule.
4. Add more content to the app along with some filters and a favorites section.

The Joule is a great kitchen gadget…
The Joule is a great kitchen gadget that is easy to use. It is great for helping with timing in preparing meals because the finish time and 'doneness' can be held for hours. Chef steps also has many fun and interesting recipes to try. I got mine as a gift but would have bought one earlier on my own had I known how versatile and fun it is to cook with.

Sous Vide Rocks
We've been using our Joule for about 3 months. Pork chops, steaks, chicken breasts, chicken thighs, 7 lb prime rib, pork loin, pork tenderloin, ++. Needed to find the correct temperatures to meet our desires, but everything comes out great. Like a slow cooker in some ways, set it and forget it, as the temp continues until you are ready to move on. Love the app to decide everything, and love that it goes into a drawer when not being used. WE ARE BIG FANS of the Joule, and ChefSteps recipes. A brother-in-law bought a different brand, he's not very happy with it, but loves using ChefSteps recipes.

I love the simplicity of Joule
I love the simplicity of Joule. I wish the app had more recipes. I like the video demos with the recipes. I also think having a manual way to operate would be nice- sometimes technology can be screwy

They make good products
They make good products. I use my Joule every other night. All the recipes have come out perfect.
I wish they would put out more recipes for veggies in the joule instead of having to go to other sites to find them. They haven't added new recipes to the Joule app in a while. They haven't added new videos on their YouTube channel, which I miss "fizzy fruit" was great. I would like to see cheese or tofu made with Joule in the app like Anova.
The app and site works great, but it's seems abandoned. The have guest chef's come in, but nothing in house in a long while. Also very few things featuring their own products lately.

An Indispensable Tool in the Kitchen
Given Joule's compact size and app integration, it's become an indispensable and frequently used tool in my kitchen. My Polyscience Sous Vide Pro's been gathering dust in the cupboard!
