Please be very careful when dealing with Rick Austin as the saying goes, he is a lot of talk and little action. He will also put a lot of pressure on you to pay for his services up front because "that's the way it's done". Well I did pay him a portion up front and that money is gone so I feel an obligation to warn others. Rick insisted on the money up front and made all kinds of promises about the deliverables and then did little work on the project unless I followed up aggressively or if he thought I would pay him more to the retainer. On 4/23/23, after some careful consideration we decided to put an investment into Rick Austin's company, Chess Seo. He came highly recommended from our business website conversion auditor. I have the call and phone text logs if needed, but it's been 17 days and we have not received ANY deliverables or updates, or the changelog which I had requested. The previous review was 100% spot on and consistent with my experience as well. For an "SEO" company this is simply unacceptable practice. My advice? Look somewhere else.
