I wrote with a woman and all of a sudden she wasn't a paying member anymore. Yeah this is a scam site. Even if they reach out now to advice me to write an email I am still 100% convinced that this is just damage control.

The fake profiles never reply and suddenly disappear, leaving other fake profiles to do the same to members who are unfortunately exploited because they are not paying.
In this way the site chinalovecupid earns money anyway so in conclusion it is preferable to pay otherwise it is impossible to meet a Chinese for a serious relationship.

I love this site , having used it since 2010 . BUT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE SHEER DISHONESTY OF THE MAJORITY OF THE LADIES ! Fully 30 to 40% bare no resemblance at all to the doctored photos they post ! More than half post at least some "beautified " , professional shots or otherwise wear so much makeup that they are unrecognizable when you see them on video . Because Chinese women are generally so slender and beautiful , those who are not all to often resort to trickery to get a man's interest , but of course , you find out sooner or later ....... I have resorted to making it clear in my profile that I expect honesty , and that has generally worked for me ( most of the time ! ) .

I don't know why there are good reviews here (I assumed they are all fake), but this is a scam site. You will receive chats from at least one fake woman every day to keep you interested and stay on the site. Do not fall for it. Go out in the real world to some real people instead.

Biggest scam dating site around. I've seen active profiles that have been on there for many years and their photos do not change! They must get commission for luring men to pay for membership. After you pay for membership, they disappear. You can see the fake photos are obvious. They are grainy/pixelated photos or stolen off the internet. Don't be so desperate to pay for this site.

I purchased a premium membership and kept my expectations low. There are a lot of attractive women on the site and very few are real profiles. Most conversations start out with the usual pleasantires, but typically end in being asked to use WeChat or some other service. Often the lure of more photos is used as a way of obtaining your e-mail address. I raised my concerns with customer service and they said they try their best to remove fake profiles etc... Which I find hard to believe as almost all the profiles are fake. They suggested that users report fake profiles, to which I responded I do not work for you. We pay for a service and there should be a certain level of quality. Avoid the site. The premium service is a waste of money.

I have met some interesting people on this platform. I have met some people I maintain frequent contact with that give me a wonderful insight into customs, values and culture. Unfortunately, the almost universal expectation that western men are wealthy is disappointing to me (mainly because I am not wealthy) and emotionally painful to these women because they have arrived here with unrealistic expectations. The most painful to me is the reaction of disillusioned women that accuse me of being a liar or trying to play games. It does not help that China has become basically inaccessible.
