This was the worst Estate Agents I have ever encountered. The let a property a few years ago that had a leak so I unfortunately couldn't move in . I would chase and chase until I had to get the Councils environmental Health team to deem it unsafe to live in. I had not even spent 1 night there and Christopher Stokes arranged for Electricians and plumbers to fix the leak and this increased my Electricity Bill which I had never used. I asked them to compensate as I had not yet moved in because of the leak and they should have never advertised it without checking it out - they ignored me for weeks and I was stuck will a bill over £200 .

The team at Chesnut specifically Harley and Matthew was so rude - the agents hung up the phone on me and ignored my emails. A friend of mine was going to rent from them and I told them my experience . Awful and I would urge people to stay away. I never moved into the property as I now have a council property.

I used Christopher Stokes in Cheshunt to sell my property. The pre - sale experience was very good and special thanks go to Steve, Luke and Ben for their efficiency and great communication.
Unfortunately I can't say that I received the same level of service from the post sales team - Rachel in particular. There was lack of being proactive on Rachel's behalf, I felt I had to keep chasing her to get an update as to what was happening when my solicitor was getting no response from the buyer's solicitors. Rachel didn't seem to be focused and kept making basic mistakes like for instance asking my solicitor about updates which had already been sent 2 weeks previously and Rachel was copied in on it. There was another confusion when I got an invoice from Christopher Stokes before the exchange even took place. When I asked whether it was a normal procedure for Christopher Stokes to send invoices before even the date of exchanged was agreed, I never got an answer or apology. Overall, very disappointing service from Rachel. I feel that the process took at least 2 weeks longer than necessary.
