I cannot recommend Callum highly enough. I had a door which was very damaged and the frame work was rotten. Callum worked with great care and passion to restore the door and changed the frame work. The door now looks brand new. He was professional and took time to tidy up after himself. He is also such a kind and pleasant man to have around which is an added bonus.

Callum is simply a consummate professional who far exceeded any expectations we had at the outset. We had a couple of sash windows that had been painted in by a decorator and not only did Callum manage to get these open but replaced all the faulty mechanisms to ensure the sashes ran smoothly. He also managed to get an extra metal window to open and close again perfectly. Callum was a pleasure to have around - a really nice man who was a great communicator and completely respectful, tidying up brilliantly at every turn. An amazing job and really reasonably priced, we can’t recommend Callum highly enough!

Callum has restored 4 sash windows on the front of my Victorian cottage. Everything about the workmanship is first-rate. Rotten outer cills and poor alignment is gone, and I have windows that glide smoothly and look excellent, with a much higher standard of draught-proofing than previously. I also appreciate that Callum identified and sourced two types of brass window fittings that suited the particular characteristics of my house - something I had failed to do myself.
It has also been a pleasure to have Callum working here - not something we often say about domestic repair work! He took exemplary care of my furniture etc, cleaned up thoroughly, and was always a quiet and hard-working presence in the house.

Callum squeezed my small repair and restoration job in and repaired a casement window and the surrounding frame beautifully and speedily. So grateful, as my cottage is on the market. We had 18 sash windows refurbished and re-painted by Callum and couldn’t be happier with the results. Callum is highly skilled, professional and extremely tidy. He works with great care and consideration, and the quality of the finish is outstanding. We had a variety of issues - windows stuck shut or stiff, rotten sills, rotten frames, peeling paint, no draught-proofing; all our windows now look brand new and function perfectly.
A huge benefit of Callum’s approach is that he removes the sashes to paint them, something traditional painters and decorators don’t generally do. This avoids the need for scaffolding, means that the draught-proofing brushes aren’t painted over and results in a much neater job than traditional painting.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Callum!

Callum has given a new lease of life, speedily but carefully, to a variety of tabletops and stools and other wooden work surfaces by sanding and waxing; the finish is wonderful andxwe are very pleased with the results; also a careful, considerate person to have in the house; highly recommended.

Callum has recently completed a project refurbishing sash windows in our grade 2 listed Georgian house in Bath. Always looking to achieve the highest level of improvement in each window, Cal’s craftsmanship was exemplary. He was a pleasure to have around the house, always considerate to our comings and goings, leaving the house each day tidy and always turning up on time. The windows now slide up and down using just a finger, which was always his test of success. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Callum has done a wonderful job renovating and draught proofing our sash windows, front door and porch, which were all in a very bad state of repair. His attention to detail is amazing and they now genuinely look as good as new and work perfectly.
In addition to his fantastic craftsmanship, he has always been reliable, considerate and accommodating and his work came with a guarantee and no hidden extra costs!

So delighted we found Callum. We had two very rotten skylights in our Georgian Grade II listed house which were draughty and really unsightly. Callum came to assess them, repaired the bases in situ, saving what he could, and then took the lids back to his workshop where he removed the glass and carefully restored them, returning them beautifully painted to match the rest of our windows, with the glass sparkling like new. Callum is a highly skilled craftsman, a perfectionist, and just a genuinely lovely guy to have around. Would wholeheartedly recommend.
