We moved into Arlington Lodge 6 months ago and are extremely happy there. We settled very quickly thanks to the friendliness of residents and the support of the manager and fellow occupants, as we adapted to this major life change. Activities are available at whatever level you choose, but privacy is respected.
We feel very safe & secure, and life is less stressful now that we have fewer maintenance responsibilities.

Sally Astbury at Manor Lodge supported us from finding the exactly right apartment to my mother moving in. Sally is lovely, a pleasure to interact with. Thank you, Sally!

It was a pleasure to deal with someone who was very professional and was able to answer most of our queries, and if not quickly got back to us with the correct info. We decided to go with Move Seniors and what an excellent decision. They have been exemplary in every aspect, advising us furniture to take, or not, and helped us with so many things to downsize, taking many items to Charity Shops, or Auction which gave us peace of mind and took the stress out of planning a house move. I would throughly recommend. Brittania also have been excellent, paid us a visit prior to move, brought boxes, wrapping paper, tape etc. so that I could start to pack if I wished.

I'm part of the grounds maintenance team for Churchill Living, and I can honestly say the managers are amazing with the owners; they are all friendly and always willing to help where needed. The gardens are beautiful to sit in on a sunny day; the building itself is done to a high standard and is always clean and tidy.
I would highly recommend this company for retirement living.

Aimee at Riverain Lodge has worked miracles for me and my move-truly. She has pulled rabbits out of hats and everything is now moving forward quickly and smoothly. Kate from the SMP Has also been wonderful. Thank you both so much. I couldn’t have done it without you

I moved into hawthorns, frinton on sea, 3 years ago, the whole complex is great for community living, our manager Ginny is extremely supportive to those that need it, sorts everything out and puts people's minds at rest.

I've lived at Abbots Lodge for 5 years. The building is now 11 years old. Never been decorated or freshened up and now some of the original plasterboarding which wasn't butted up properly is separating in various spots including two in my apartment.
The cost of having this rectified is £990.
My Lodge manager very helpfully put this through to Churchill building insurance who have refused it on the grounds of they don't cover bad workmanship.

Alex was really helpful, answered all questions we had and was polite and friendly.

Oh dear . I’m sure it’s wonderful when you buy a new apartment - but as someone who is stuck in a buying chain with a couple who are trying to buy a resold Churchill property , it’s a very different story.
Week after week , month after month , we wait for Churchills to provide information to the conveyancer !!!!

I recently visited the Churchill retirement apartments at Charrington Lodge in Oxted Surrey with my sister. We were warmly greeted by Karen and given a full tour of the apartment block.
Charrington Lodge is a collection of 26 one and two bedroom apartments with fitted kitchens, landscaped gardens with patio and seating areas, and a Lodge Manager throughout the week to oversee the day-to-day running of the development.
Owners also benefit from a 24-hour call centre support system, a Guest Suite for family and friends to visit and an Owners’ Lounge with a coffee bar. Thank you Karen for all you help on the day. I like the fact there are many options for potential buyers. It was a pleasure to meet you. Sue.

Every contact that I have had with Churchill has been very satisfying good experience. Maggie, the sales executive, has been very helpful, not actively selling but informing, allowing me to make my own decisions. Nothing is too much trouble, Maggie is well informed on all aspects of Paddock Lodge and the purchase of the apartments. She is admirably supported by the existing owners who we have met several times. The Paddock Lodge is very well presented, well positioned for all the essentials and the travel infrastructure.

Awful dealing with this company. My Mum passed away over a year ago and the flat sale went through last year. Still getting letters about various things happening at the flat including a service charge demand. Have called several times, left messages with no reply. E-mailed as impossible to speak to anyone. Finally got confirmation that it will stop today, No apology given!!

If, like me, you have been persuaded to make the move by the promises of hassle free removals and help with legal fees, ignore these and the pristine, chandeliered accommodation. I once was a property owner with a Tardis of a house which offered multiple options for generating future lending . Now I’m in a leasehold apartment with no options as most of my freehold was exchanged for a library of rules. I’m now referred to as an owner, but the only thing I own is a book of regulations. If residents want to make any alterations, however small, they have to pay a Permission Charge - in my case £109 to install a washing machine! Promises made before signing up are hastily forgotten once moved and I am furious to see notices of ‘Wipe Your Feet’ on doors, especially when the neutral carpets were selected for public areas for the look rather than practicality. Independent Living also choose refuse bins for the over 65s that are too heavy to lift, over sink windows unable to open because of distance, kitchen cupboards that require steps to reach (also coat hooks too high up on doors) and smoke alarms so sensitive they deter cooking. All fur coat and no knickers!

Stayed as a guest at Lockyer Lodge recently. A warm welcome from the Manager and nice clean, pleasant surroundings. If we were thinking of buying a retirement apartment this would definitely be our first choice. Excellent!

Although l don't live in a Churchills accommodation l do the grounds maintenence of Coopers Lodge in Frinton on sea, which l has been my absolute delight.
I have tendered the gardens for around 7 years and over this time have gotten to know many of the residents, whom are lovely. This site houses a unique community and a truly amazing and dedicated Manager, Mandy. Trips are often organized for those who wish to partake and activities laid on through out selected days . From the outside I see a strong sense of unity and care .Had my mum still been here l would have loved her to have lived at Coopers Lodge They are beautiful flats, which are set in an idilic location near beautiful beaches, lovely grounds and close to all necessary amenities, what more could one want ?

Myself My Husband and our little dog Toby moved to Concorde Lodge nearly 2 years ago. It has been the best thing we ever did. After many years Service in the Army and Prison Service we have found peace in our Golden years although still in our 60s!.
Our Lodge Manager John is exceptional nothing is too much trouble. Our Apartment is warm and cosy and we are only 10 minutes from our Grandchildren. We travel in our campervan knowing everything is safe at home. Not for everyone but perfect for us the choice is yours.

Three months ago my life had reached a point where I needed to downsize. I was not enjoying looking after a large house and garden. It had all become too much for me and was making me ill. My husband, who is not fully well, was happy to stay there forever. We had reached a crossroads.
I finally managed to persuade him to visit Dovehouse Lodge with me. I fell in love with the whole Churchill Living concept, my husband was not so keen. Alison answered his questions and slowly over a few visits he came to appreciate the benefits. He finally realised the strain I had been under and how much easier life would be if we moved.
After viewing several properties of different combinations we settled on one we liked. We took the exchange option and moved in within 6 weeks from the initial viewing. It has taken away all the worries that kept me awake at night. I feel better, I look better and I'm sleeping really well. We both feel more secure and settled, I have noticed an improvement in my husband also. He has the other males to share his sports interests and enjoys watching the big matches with them in the Communal Lounge. We have been welcomed by both the inmates and Linda the Manager alike.
We thank Alison for her perceptiveness. She found the perfect apartment for us and we are settling in nicely.

My parents have been living in a Churchill retirement home for 18 months now. The team (Karen and Tina) have created a wonderful atmosphere in the home with loads of social event and a real feeling of community.
Their flat is well designed and works really well for my father who is in a wheelchair. Overall it has been a great move for my parents and I always feel welcomed and involved. I would thoroughly recommend it.

I recently attended an information day at Riverain Lodge and was very impressed by the standard and quality of the apartments and the communal areas. I met several owners during the day and they were vibrant and positive about living there, such a lovely atmosphere. There are any number of activities to join in with if you wish whilst still retaining your privacy in your own apartment if you prefer. The location is central to town and has a lovely outside area, all very secure and with the support of a Lodge manager. Help offered all the way from helping you sell your property to arranging removal services. Can't think of any negative comments!
