Supportive of first time buyers, with one person cash-only
Churchill Mortgage helped us purchase our first home, and our agent, Sandi Green, was exceptional. Buying a house can be a whirlwind, and we loved that Sandi took the time to clearly lay out what was happening, and why, and what the next steps were. Everyone on the Churchill team was friendly, proactive, quick to respond, and patient – we needed a lot of hand holding, and they did it without making us feel silly for not knowing what we didn't know. They were particularly helpful in establishing credit for my husband, as he lives cash-only. Loved working with them!

Very easy and helpful. My mortgage rate dropped almost 2 percentage points. No issues as all. Darren was very helpful
Good, but could be better
The initial process was smooth, but during the closing process, somehow my escrow payment ended up with Churchill instead of my insurance provider, which resulted in an overdue insurance payment being sent to me, which I then paid out of pocket. When I called Churchill, they were able to get it figured out and send my money back to me, but the letter associated with the check said something along the lines of "in our final close-out review, we found this extra money," with no acknowledgement that I had to call them, they didn't proctor up that money without me flagging it. Also, it felt like they sold our mortgage so quickly that there was confusion with fifth third regarding the first mortgage payment. Otherwise, the people at Churchill were friendly, and really felt like a personalized experience.

Because I was refinancing my home…
Because I was refinancing my home mortgage i began the process with the company that held my current mortgage. A few weeks into the process I found this would take up to four months. I called Churchill, explained my current situation and was assured the process could be completed within 45 days. And it was. Great care was taken to keep me updated along the way. Churchill is, to me, the only mortgage company for re-fi or orig home mortgages.
CHURCHILL TO THE RESCUE
In June of this year, I was faced with a difficult situation when my mortgage lender informed me that they wouldn't refinance my loan. This left me unsure of how to move forward as I didn't know if other mortgage lenders would tell me the same thing.
With interest rates at record/historic lows thanks to the pandemic, I knew it was the opportune time to do this, and especially since my interest rate was high.
In recent years, I have watched several Dave Ramsey videos on YouTube. For anyone familiar with his videos, he speaks a lot about being debt free and why it's important to pay off your home sooner rather than later. It was there I remembered hearing him talk about Churchill Mortgage, giving them his stamp of approval!
I wasn't sure if they could help, so I decided to reached out, in writing, to the Dave Ramsey radio show. This is so unlike me, but when you're desperate you become quite resourceful. Late one sleepless night, I detailed all that I felt was necessary, and simply kept my fingers crossed when I hit the send button. You see they had warned that they receive a lot of messages, so I wasn't sure I would get a response, but I figured I had nothing to lose. Perhaps I would get lucky, is what I thought to myself.
The next day, while on the trains commuting to work, I saw a response from the Dave Ramsey show. The email I sent, it was linked to someone at Churchill Mortgage, with a note that said, please see if you could help. I was elated!
That someone was Matt Ricci, a Home Loan Specialist at Churchill Mortgage. From our very first phone conversation, he listened and explained in detail why the problem I had affected my refinancing. However, he never once made me feel as if I couldn't get my home refinanced, like the other mortgage company. In fact, he started the process the same day. From that point on, I had no doubt in my mind, that I was finally working with the right mortgage company.
For the purpose of not getting too lengthy with my experience, here is what eventually happened: Churchill Mortgage helped me obtain a 15 years mortgage at a significantly lower interest rate that I never imagined I could get. Matt was able to resolve the issue I had, and I was able to close without delay.
Matt and the rest of his at Churchill Mortgage were professional, yet they didn't lack humanity. This is something I highly appreciated, especially after dealing with a lender who showed they didn't care about me as a customer. I am forever thankful to Churchill Mortgage for helping to make my life financially stable!
Thank you,
Sandra in New Jersey
Don't get discouraged about a new mortgage. Call Churchill Mortgage and you will be in good hands.
When we needed to refinance for a new mortgage, it became difficult to find someone that seemed sincere. It started to seem unreachable but something happened that changed everything.
I found a little slip of paper that was tucked away in the filing cabinet on top of the mortgage papers from our original mortgage.
It was the name of Dave Ramsey and the name of a mortgage company I remember hearing him on the radio talk about, the Churchill Mortgage company, which I wrote down and stuck it to the old mortgage folder.
So, we thought, why not call them. And it was the best decision we've made in a long time.
The agent took care of us from the very first thing we were to do until the day it became "our new mortgage". The folks there are very interested in what they do and they do it well! They seemed different than the other companies we talked to and I trusted them immediately.
Our interest rate fell dramatically and all is well.
If you are searching for a company to refinance a new mortgage for you, I urge you to call Churchill Mortgage and you will see why I gave this review.
They are simply people helping people. Sincerely, Daniel
