Save yourself the pain

Avoid at all costs.

Bought a Volvo XC40 from here in March and from the offset there were significant problems.

During the sales process I queried the cam belt having not been changed and they agreed to change it, unfortunately it turns out whoever did the work jacked the vehicle on the sump and cracked it, several months of oil leaks and a new sump and I finally resolved the issue.

The door modules had also failed and on receipt the passenger door wouldn't open with the central locking, 6 months later the driver door also failed.

The valet job was also shockingly poor, the previous owners personal documentation, bank statement, A&E discharge report and an iPhone were in the hold all behind the driver's seat and opening any crevice revealed sweets.

I, of course, naturally raised all these concerns to Jack on delivery. Initially he was extremely helpful and apologetic and agreed to pay for the door repair, sump change and a new valet. That was until I'd paid the bill to a local garage and then nothing, no counter offer, no further communication nothing! Despite numerous attempts. Another recent garage appointment left me frustrated.

Buy from here knowing they've almost certainly taken a shortcut in the process that will ultimately leave you out of pocket.

All of this is documented on email and photos of previous parties personal documents as well as the cracked sump are available.

When this review was left on Google, Jack the owner replied stating how I'd gone ahead and had the car repaired without their sign off, yes I did because no one wants to have no running car and this had a cracked sump!!

All I ever wanted was partial help with the repairs sadly customer service doesn't exist here

***NEVER BUY FROM HERE***

***NEVER BUY FROM HERE***
Bought a vauxhall mokka from this garage back in January..
The problems started straight away.
This included fhe following:
- Squeaky belt
- No service when they said it had one previously
- Oil burning excessively
- Radiator overheating many times
- Head/head gasket skimmed and repaired
- Oil coolant replaced
- Timing chain replaced
- Hand brake issue
- Electrical issue
The list is endless

Contacted garage who refused to help.
The cost of repairs to myself was £3000+. The garage who carried out the repairs to the vehicle said it had had very dodgy repairs done to it before sale and did a report for me to say it was sold with known issues, so this company had blatantly lied during the sale.
Never ever would I recommend buying from here as been a nightmare since the start. Awful experience from an awful company.

Bought a car from here in February

Bought a car from here in February. The problems with it have been endless. Returned car for repair. Churchward couldn't fix it so sent it to Nissan. I contacted Nissan to find out the issues with the car. They were extremely helpful much to Churchward's disappointment. They tried to hide from me the issues with the car. I later found out they also went to Nissan, refused to pay their bill and were aggressive to members of staff there because they told me about what Churchward were trying to hide. Churchward did fix the issues Nissan found. But it doesn't end here unfortunately, the previous MOT had a list of advisories which were the same issues Nissan found, The MOT that Churchward sold the car to me with had no advisories at all! Amazing how they can disappear when they haven't been fixed. They also told me the car was serviced when I bought it. This is utter rubbish as the engine oil was so thin when I had a mechanic look at it. It would not be in that condition in July if it has been serviced when I purchased it in February. There was no stamp in the service book either. In June the engine lights came on, I took it to a reliable and trustworthy garage to be told it needed a service, sensor and DPF filter clean. In fact the DPF filter had to be cleaned twice. The total cost came in £840. Churchward tell me they fixed the issues Nissan found as a good will gesture even though they did not need fixing! I think I'll trust a Nissan dealer over a dodgy car salesman, thank you! Churchward also tell me the reason the DPF filter blocks is because I drive short distances, well if that's the case should they have sold a car to me that is not suitable? If I only drive short distances which I do not! I drive at least 30 miles everyday. Churchward are refusing to accept that the car they sold me is not fit for purpose or as described.

This company can improve by not telling lies to their customers, getting dodgy MOT's done and selling cars which are not fit for purpose. Do not buy car from here unless you want to spend an extra £1000 plus putting all the things wrong with it right!
