More proactive support would be nice
Generally I find the start OK, but then attention to the clients slips away, where clients should be constantly informed and their investments monitored and adjusted. Now it’s often the client that takes the initiative. But maybe my expectations are different.

I have been a client of CI-Associates for around 2 years and they have always been very supportive and responsive. My experience with CI-Associates is extremely satisfactory so far. Since the initial approach (few years ago) I perceived a high level of professionalism which coupled with some colleagues' references made me explore their services again. The interview and assesment process was conducted in a very confidential and personal way, and the alternatives they offered me were 'taylor-made' to my needs and expectations. AVOID, THEY ARE NOT FCA REGULATED SO THEY CAN SCAM YOU AND GET AWAY WITH IT
I had an advisor come to my house and tell me a pack of lies in 2013 and persuaded me to extract my 20k Armed forces Royal Marines pension as of great benefits and high returns. 7 years later my pension has not increased any of the years and is lower than what I extracted from Royal marines. These scumbags are not FCA regulated and thats how they get around this giving you poor and false financial advise so the FCA can't do anything because there not regulated. AVOID THESE SCUMBAGS AT ALL COST AS THEY HAVE TARGETED ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL PENSIONS AND IM NOT THE ONLY ONE THEY HAVE DONE THIS TOO.

Just so you are aware, I am Ex Parachute Regiment and I also transferred my Military pension, with an Introducer.
I, like yourself share a little disappointment with the returns on the pensions managed by Creechurch Capital, however it must be said that the pension in February 2020 was worth more than the initial transfer value, I have seen the very detailed email you have received from our operational team.
The company acted as introducers, assisting a number of ex-military personnel who asked to transfer their military pension over a 3 to 4 year period until the government stopped the transfers of all unfunded government pensions in April 2015…. at no point during this time did we as introducers offer or give advice. The procedures we had in place for assisting you in the transfer were FCA regulated where regulation required, they fulfilled strict criteria laid down by the Armed Forces Pension Scheme and ultimately HMRC who oversaw all pension transfers. The pension you have is a QROPS, a (Q)ualifying (R)ecognised (O)verseas (P)ension (S)cheme….Qualifying and Recognised by HMRC.
At the time of your transfer, regulation required that our presentation and your pension transfer were accompanied by FCA regulated advice, we were not FCA regulated and in your own case and all Harbour/STM transfers the services of Servatus were engaged to fulfil that statutory advice requirement. Within the application process you signed to acknowledge that you had received this formal advice from Servatus and that you wished to proceed with the transfer…..
The QROPS option offered to us by Harbour, now Harbour/STM and subsequently presented to you was a well-structured compliant solution , the investment platform was with James Brearley and the funds management function was outsourced as regulation required to an independent funds management company Creechurch Capital who have managed the funds on a full discretionary basis since inception.
Harbour/STM are your pension trustees, they oversee your pension in a very strict jurisdiction, they are the administrators on a day to day basis and custodians of UK and international laws relating to your pension.
We have no influence nor ongoing involvement with your pension, we offer basic administrative support in cases like this where our resources allow.
James Brearley are FCA regulated and offer a low cost investment platform.
Creechurch Capital have from the initial transfer managed your funds on a discretionary basis, they have made all the investment decisions and therefore solely responsible for the performance of the pension funds.
The fund’s performance has reflected a conservative funds management strategy adopted by Creechurch.
