The consultation experience left a lot…
The consultation experience left a lot to wish for only after an eyelid infection, and I used the Wellness app booking a teleconsultation but the video didn't work. The doctor didn't do a prescription even though she said I should start medication ASAP. The prescription arrived after more than 24 hours and 2 calls from my side in the wrong language and signed by a doctor licensed in Spain (I live in France). I will cancel my policy and probably also my wife will cancel her as well.

A TON OF EMAILS...
The person tho handled my sign up phase was very good, helpful and fast to reply. Afterwards I keep getting A TON of email with all kind of different stuff.. and have recived at least 4 email that I didnt pay yet. Which I have and already have recived a confirmation email about. They should probably improve their system!

Représentative David McHugh was so incredibly proactive and helpful in securing my health insurance policy. We had a very tight deadline within which we had to amend our policy and appreciate all he did for us.
Paid my claim after appeal
Unfortunately. As bad as predicted
( edit below , Cigna reviewed and paid the claim )
Sudden and severe accident caused a herniated disc . Cigna approved hospital stay until surgery doing.
5 days in pain and with risk of nerve damage . Morphine and other meds to try to relieve the pain and the surgeon told me surgery needed to be done asap and it was getting worse and could not wait.
Cigna refused payment and said I had not completed 6 weeks of physio . Really , I was agony and surgery needed doing but the faceless individuals deny genuine claims
When it comes to money , they are a business and don’t care at all and will use every tactic possible to avoid payments
Just faceless inconsiderate corporations taking money

The stress of being denied a genuine claim and the responses being so abrupt and uncaring was not the best experience. I ended up having to appeal and thankfully my agent AAinsure in Thailand , did all this for me , I had ti get an appointment with the surgeon to explain why surgery could not wait and was urgent , even though this had been explained twice to Cigna .
So the appeal decided in my favour .personally I think the first step of denying claims is not done by doctors but claims assessors. The appeal process must be done by people mire knowledgeable on spine surgery and the urgency of some operations .
I will still be using Cigna because of two reasons
The main reason being they quickly approved my stay in hospital for 2 days while the doctors assessed me
Even though I had to appeal , experienced people must have reviewed the case and it was in my favour

I found Megan Ward to be clear, concise, and understanding of questions, and she answered them thoroughly. I strongly recommend you use her as an example for others to emulate.
Some appreciations
First. I got contacted by someone else following up to get enrolled in the program when i already did.
Second. I was offered a discount that finished in the end of November, but Katie (my agent at that time) made the exception. Days after i got a reminder for an extension of the discount from another agent different from the one who contacted me first. It made u feel the privilege was not there and actually i dont care but Katie told me they made the exception with me. I'm fine with. Making client feels special... i know principles of persuasion very well. I work in the wine and gourmet industry importing and selling. Its just that u have to make sure those kind of mistakes don't happen ;-)
Third. The new one i informed him about going to hospital to do some check regarding some clogging nose, no single answer or else after i told him i decided to use my local medical insurance for making things easier. When u hire a medical insurance of certain level, a simple answer acknowledging, helps to believe u really care :)
Fourth. i would not have written this but as u sent me the follow up for the feedback twice, i ended up doing it hehe
Fifth. I dont usually dedicate my time to this but as a GM of a business, sometimes i wish someone would tell me all the things they hate from our business and our service. Its the only way to improve. "Unfortunately" for me, just very few complain so only thanks to those, i can do better ;-) Merry Xmas
