Great materials, very clear and easy to follow, the platform prep-exams were very useful and well explained.

The improvements should be to build in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and some recent court rulings in the trainings.

By this message I would like to share my CIPP/E certification training experience with the community. I successfully passed the CIPP/E Certification on the 24th of September 2022.

1. About my training:
The content delivered by IAPP is valuable and of high quality, without the shadow of a doubt. Another alternative to consider is the CIPP/E Training bundle delivered by CIPPTraining.com, which is also really worth the investment:
- very high quality material, everything that a student should know is well summarized in a short but very exhaustive document, on top of other very useful documents about European Institutions, Direct Marketing... I used and read the documents many times, they served as a real guidance during my journey;
- the different lessons are well presented with clear and easily understandable wording;
- Three 90-questions quizzes are delivered with the bundle, their quality is very good and give a real flavour to the student of what will be expected during the real test. There are also complementary questions at the end of each lesson, they are very useful to identify the areas where additional work is necessary.

2. About other useful documentation sources, I recommend:
- The Body of Knowledge by IAPP;
- The Certification Candidate Handbook by IAPP;
- The GDPR in itself, to be read and referred to as many times as necessary, until to know its content nearly by heart;
- European Privacy Law Practice Exam by Jasper Jacobs: a 90 questions practice test of high quality;
- European Privacy Law Practice Exam - Case Study Edition by Jasper Jacobs: another high-quality 90 questions practice test focused on Case Studies;
- Three CIPP/E practice exams by Franklin Philips: 270 questions that are also very close to the exam content, the 3rd test is especially difficult because it is full of weird questions that are not covered explicitly during the training, but might appear during the exam.

3. Final recommendations based on my own experience:
- Take your time: some reviews can be found where it is stated that 30 hours are enough to successfully pass the certification. My humble feedback is that 80 hours are more appropriate and realistic. It includes learning all the training material, knowing the GDPR in depth and practicing as many tests as it is possible;
- Know the GDPR nearly by heart, really;
- Practice as much blank exams and questions as it is possible: with the 3 recommended books+ the 3 CIPPTraining.com exams, it is possible to build a big practical knowledge database of 720 questions!
- Stay focused, do not be distracted by the technical/lawful jargon during the exam: it is very easy to lose precious minutes to read and re-read the content of the full scenarios, whereas some paragraphs are useless and are just intended to destabilize the applicant;
- Keep your time under control: 2.5 hours seems to be a lot for 90 questions but it is not! Keep the discipline to have completed the first 45 questions in not more than 1.25 hour and keep the pace until the end. The timing is very stretched and there will certainly remain very limited if no time for a final review;
- About flagging questions for review during the exam: from my own experience I do not think that it is a good strategy because it is forcing the applicant to go back and forth in the questionnaire, it breaks the pace and the focus on top of creating doubt into one's mind and increasing time pressure;
- About the quality of blank questions proposed by IAPP: I purchased an official bundle of 25 questions which, from my standpoint, are by far too easy and do not represent the real difficulty of the exam;
- For those who are considering to pass the CIPM and/or CIPT certifications: my advice is to pass the CIPP/E certification first, since CIPM and CIPT certifications are making the assumption that the applicant is proficient with the CIPP/E concepts already and therefore do not revisit them in depth.

I bought the CIPP/E course. This course is very well organized and saves you a lot of time. Don't be fooled by the number of pages of the outline compared to the IAPP Official Book; it covers everything important and you will be very well prepared for the exam. Plus, the staff is super helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have along the way. Recommended without hesitation.

Very effective training course for anyone in seeking to acquire a solid understanding of European privacy law; especially those preparing for the CIPP/E exam. I passed the exam on the 1st try with a solid score.

I bought both CIPM and CIPP/E trainings from Remon. Very well organized trainings, which provide you a summary of everything you need to need. Practice exam were also very helpful, in combination with other practice exam questions in internet I managed to pass an exam.

One of the best options (if not the best) for those who want to get straight to the point in training for the IAPP certifications. There is no winding up, no ideas that "may or may not answer the questions." Specific, direct, practical, and directly related to the content of the exams. I took two training and passed both without any difficulty. I recommend it to everyone!

Before buying the CIPP/E training I was slightly overwhelmed by the volume of material to cover but the CIPPTraining.com video and PDF was superb. It summarised the materially to the core information needed and helped me study it fast. Also, the 3 full exams are invaluable. I highly recommend it and I will be buying the other ones before taking them exams. Email support was great too.

I was sceptical about online training, especially one I hadn't heard of. What appealed to me most was the sample questions, and having done the CIPP/E exam twice, I can say the sample questions are very close to the actual exam questions which was great. The .pdf with course notes was very concise. It matched strongly with my own notes from the book but was even more concise. The videos are very helpful. The three combined I would say genuinely would be sufficient to pass the exam. The value for money is incredible compared to similar training out there. One drawback - I found some of the questions or answers were a little ambiguous, expression or phrasing which wouldn't be said in my country, but not too many. I've just paid for the CIPM as I know that the training is well worth it.

I took the CIPP/E training and find this course great. It is dynamic, clear structured and very easy to understand. It helped me a lot and I passed the exam.

I took Remon’s CIPP/US online training course, and I found it to be an excellent primary study resource for me. It definitely helped me study (and organize) and pass the IAPP CIPP/US certification exam on my first try! The CIPPTraining really helped me in preparing for the CIPP exam. The summary and videos were essential. I passed the exam at first attempt. I would use the same training method for CIPM.

CIPP Training provided me with everything I needed to be prepared to sit the CIPP/E exam. I had already read the book but CIPP Training helped me to absorb the topics more effectively as it is really well organised with videos, texts and a detailed summary. The practice questions were incredibly helpful and I definitely wouldn’t have passed the exam without it.

I just passed my CIPP/US exam and the chapter overview along with fantastic practice questions from cipptraining.com helped me tremendously. Not only are you tested on the material in the book, but IAPP tries to trick you on questions as well. Training your brain to be on the look out for these minor nuances is what this training program also helped me master. Otherwise I would have been blind to this and quickly read through the questions thinking I already knew the answer. Definitely recommend this training program.

Honestly could not have passed the exam without this amazing training. It gave a great foundation for learning the book and outside materials. I need structure with an objective to learn, with this course I felt I had that objective and was able to better absorb the knowledge. You will still have to read the book, there's no getting out of that, I would suggest you immerse yourself in it. However, this course does a great job with picking out the most relevant information to learn. Important note, make flash cards of the state laws as you will be tested, and visit the sites for the regulations - FTC, ONC, HHS, Dept. of Education, APEC etc. Read through the FAQ's, read through the regulations and take notes. This course does a FANTASTIC job of giving you outside resources to further your knowledge, use them. The exam is a "prove your knowledge" test, they will make you demonstrate your knowledge by combining multiple pieces of legislation. Good luck!
