Salt Pool - Michigan

I installed my original salt system, Si-45, in 2014 and only this year (2022) had trouble keeping the chlorine production up. I replaced the salt cell and it is back to normal.
The warranty on an Si-45 is 4 years (prorated) and it lasted 8 years which makes sense since I am in Michigan and only run the pool about 1/2 a year (if I'm lucky) so the salt cell life should basically double compared to someone running a pool all year round. Symptoms were low chlorine production, salt readings on the display that were very low compared to testing with a salt stick. Also the salt reading on the display would decrease over the course of 1 day to the point where the Lo Salt was indicated.

Too earlier for component failure.

I received my order quickly. Unfortunately, this is only the second summer that I have had my salt system and I should not have to be replacing parts already. The first summer, the system worked flawlessly. This summer, I have to clean the salt cell at least every two weeks to clear the "low salt - cell maintenance" alarm.

Had 2 CircuPool Salt System Units…

Had 2 CircuPool Salt System Units failed after less than 2 Years! Cost this owner over $120.00 in postage and bypass cells and now CircuPool wants another $264.20 for repairs. My Hayward unit lasted 7 years without any repairs. These units do not last! Buyer beware.

Painful shipping experience

Overall product quality was great. For some reason the $7 item I ordered required a signature from UPS. Not being home, UPS decided to deliver it to the nearest CVS UPS pickup location. Unfortunately, it didn’t arrive at the CVS for another 3 days after it was supposed to be delivered. Spending the extra $15 for shipping to get the part faster was definitely not worth the price. Recommendation: make sure “require signature” is not selected when sending out an item, especially one with a price of less than $10.

Customer Service Attention NEEDED

We've been working with circuit pool now for approximately one year. Having just switched over to this manufacturer from Jandy and Pentair. We've worked with Pentair and Jandy in the past and have had excellent customer service as well as some reliability issues with that particular equipment. That’s par for the course…. the reason why we switched over to circuit pool is because of their fantastic warranty period of seven years. Being new to this company we've only purchased four or five units and have had excellent customer service all along the way with questions being answered and items sent out as needed.
This morning was an exception to previous experiences. We felt compelled “Sonny Adams” who claimed to be with the company for 25 years was probably the least helpful, argumentative customer support agent I've talked with in many years.
I was greeted by him picking up the phone and with a barely audible tone a asked “what's your account number….” No hello or introduction….nothing but that. The experience degraded from there over the next 10 minutes of discussing our issues with the salt cell with him. He was defensive, and argumentative about an issue that was as cut & dry as far as we were concerned. (having 17 years of experience out in the field dealing with salt cell generators all day long everyday) The issue for the point of record was the cell was NOT producing. Plain and Simple. We know what cells look like as they are producing sanitizer, this one (as compared to the others on route) was not. Additionally, when we shut the pump off there was no red flow light indicated on the Control Board. This would clearly indicate (without exception) that there's something wrong with either the flow sensor and or the Control Board. All valves in the system inline and on. It took approximately 10 minutes of him arguing with me the possibility of this being a chemistry issue rather than just saying “what's your address I'll send you out the replacement part.” Finally, we got “there” but he wanted me to give him my credit card number before he would send me the replacement part. I ended the call there. This is not at all consistent with other tech support personnel we've talked with at CIRCUPOOL.

Management should absolutely be aware but this. He is not the person you want having field your telephone calls with companies that are trying to sell your equipment.

Great Product, Better Service

I ordered an entire filtration kit for my pool. After installation, I noticed a defect in the salt water generator controller keypad cover - a replacement is being shipped, no questions asked. The pump also had a slight defect (abnormal hum during operation) and Circupool is again shipping an entire replacement (not just parts for me to fix myself,) no questions asked. This level of customer service is part of what made me choose Circupool in the first place, after extensive research and reading many rave reviews. The equipment is clearly high quality, loaded with latest technology, and very robust. There is no doubt in my mind that my defects are an anomaly and most importantly, that Circupool will stand by their unbeatable warranty for the life of my filtration system. I installed my equipment with the utmost attention to detail, but tech support didn't even question the install. DIYers, I wouldn't hesitate to take their word as gospel that there will be no penalty for self installation. Buy with confidence!

I Love my Circupool salt pool system

I Love my Circupool salt pool system. I have had it since May of 2014, and it has been wonderful. I Just replaced the salt cell after eight years! I had some questions about the new replacement cell and John Hill from circupool had all the answers and was very patient and extrtemely knowledgable and personable.
He had me back to a great salt water pool experience in no time!

After having spoken to a handful of different people at Circupool I can tell you they are one of the most customer service minded companies I have ever dealt with. Everyone is polite, well spoken and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company as well as its products.
