By far the very worst credit card I’ve…
By far the very worst credit card I’ve had in my entire life. They are fraudulent. They do not protect you from scams and fraud. They’ve wasted so much of my time they’ve made numerous issues on my bills. They’ve promised me to fix issues and resolve problems and never did at the end of the day. It ended up coming out out of my pocket don’t waste your time. Don’t trust this company. They don’t care about you and neither does their bank. Constant issues also with the bank they weren’t open during the times that they said they would be they made so many mistakes on my accounts not sure how they stay open, but this is not a place you want to invest your money or your time into.
Still charging interest on an account…
Still charging interest on an account that was closed and paid in full. They kept me on the phone 15 minutes trying to get me not to close account.Even put paid in full on the check memo and they accepted it.Now they are saying it was interest from before the payoff amount?
Scam company
Scam company. Called ahead of time to verify eligibility of a bonus, confirmed eligibility, proceeded to use a product, turns out months later I was "never" eligible for that bonus. Total scam, never ever trust this company. I manage a large company and will never use Citi for our business or personal banking. Good riddance.
Closed cc for nothing
They closed my card after I requested a new one because the first was lost, and pushed me around for 3 weeks with verifications and reps, getting nowhere. And of course, they took all the points I had accumulated. Do not use them, period.
Loyal customer for over 30+…
Loyal customer for over 30+ years...they could do nothing for me during hardship as long as my account was current! That is so *ss backwards! We keep current to keep the relationship. Highest interest rates and they claim that is their minimum. They don't care how long you've been loyal...they don't care if we drop them like a hot potato....so SAD!!! Over half my life with them...I'm DONE!
Horrible
Horrible. Can we file a class lawsuit because I had my Dillards credit card for 10years and all of a sudden they took over and they closed my account for no activity but remind you, I used that card back of March and April this year and paid it off…so I am confused. I hope this bank looses all their customers.
Worst Customer Service I have seen
Worst Customer Service I have seen , not worth my time , any other bank is a better option
After 30 years leaving. No client service no support
After 30 years, through with Citibank. Customer service is non-existent . Phone support is not a joke it is truly madding. There is NO phone support. The phone number for 24 hour banking means 24 hours on hold listing to prerecorded loops, and if you finally get someone, they are on the other side of the plant with a poor phone connection and a bad accent. Branch is no better. Large buildings, NO people. NO service.
I called to inquire about opening up a…
I called to inquire about opening up a checking account and a savings account and I actually got the Philippines! They refused me a USA agent, and I literally told him how stupid it would be to give a foreign country, my Social Security number and then they would still have my routing number and my savings number all of it! That’s just the first error another error in Washington DC, they literally have the monitors facing the windows to the street! I watched on KULT news a first amendment auditor on YouTube, literally video a client and the agent had the screen facing the window. Can you imagine the information we could get if we were just filming all the time to banks to do that? So I recommend get a credit union instead they are smarter and they are safer! But I would avoid Citibank at all costs.!!!!!!!

Most Traumatic Banking Experience of my Life
I could write on and on about my negative citi bank experience. I got brought in to this bank via a 0% offer for a 18mo balance transfer. As part of opening an account, they also had a 20k point offer if i spend $1500 in the first 3 mo or so. The communication about this, and dealing with their customer support has been dreadful. They have a customer support team that barley spoke english properly to me such that they could not explain their own product. Nothing made sense in terms of how they explained things to me and i had to chatGPT all my questions in order to understand things. They are inflexible and the reps i talked to (mainly india) - my god, i have never dealt with such a rude individual. I can go on and on but in summary, i do regret opening this card even tho i was able to get a 0% apr offer. I have incured fees over $400 altho luckily i was able to recoup some losses via filing compliants to the CFPB. Citi bank, i will never do business with them again. I hope you take this message as a warning before doing buisness with citi
Costco's Citi Visa is Horrible
Costco's Citi Visa is Horrible! We have an income of nearly 200K, no debt, always pay the full balance for all our bills, and no mortgage. Citi's AI lowered our credit limit and now won't reconsider for 6 months. I told the human agent to get me a "manager" or "banker." The "manager" said she had no ability to overturn "Citi's" decision. I told her that made no sense, and with such a low credit limit, I can't buy all of the Costco and other items I would to get the Citi and Costco rebates... it seemed from her tone, that was the whole point. Please dump Citi bank and go to Chase or another good bank.
I recently paid off the account
I recently paid off the account; the balance was listed on the account. I paid the final payment and 1 day later another charge for $55.99 appeared. If the statement states the total balance, then that should be the pay off. Terrible service, just downright greedy. horrible rates, horrible service, greedy bank.
Very bad experience!

Citibank’s customer support is genuinely ridiculous and shameful
Citibank’s customer support is genuinely ridiculous and shameful
When a critical issue arises and a customer needs immediate help, the experience is nothing short of abysmal. I have repeatedly spent hours on hold—not minutes, but literally hours—only to be disconnected or passed around without resolution. The representatives are either unreachable or unable to provide meaningful support, leaving essential issues unresolved and the customer stranded.
The lack of respect for a customer who has trusted this institution for a quarter-century is shocking. Citibank appears to have completely prioritized automation and cost-cutting over human connection and competent service. A bank cannot claim to value its clients when it actively refuses to answer the phone or provide any form of timely, human response.
This is not poor service; this is an outright failure of infrastructure and management. I strongly advise prospective customers to look elsewhere, and current long-time customers to recognize that their loyalty is meaningless to this organization. The service we are receiving today is an absolute betrayal of trust.
Can do better in customer service.
Can do better in customer service.
I was a loyal client. Stay Away from this bank !
I was a loyal client with a checking , savings and credit card account for almost 8 years.
Out of the blue they decided to close my account with a balance of almost $60K . I called to find out why and just said that they didn't know. Horrible customer service , they barely speak English and they don't have any knowledge or skills
Worst Customer Service ever
I have been using Citibank for over 30 years! I'm officially done, its been so bad that I've literally cried!! I spent about 15 hours in one week ( no exaggeration) getting transferred and disconnected and connected to people who barely speak English trying to resolve why i was locked out of my account. Constant issues!! Never again!
Mika from General Banking customer…
Mika from General Banking customer service had appalling service. She was rude and had an attitude the whole time. She placed me on long holds and even hung up on me when I called back after being disconnected. Disgusting service for a bank.
