* APRIL 2023 UPDATE *
After the review we heard back and finally got a confirmation about the account being terminated (in a rather passive aggressive way). 24 continued to get bills and every email I sent back was ignored. And a couple of days ago we received a CANCELATION FEE BILL?! After breaching the terms of the contract 5 weeks in a row, we are now to compensate them for having to switch suppliers. As expected, not one out of 3 people that have been in touch with us previously responded to an email about it. I’m at my wits end

We have had a contract with citron for about a year and a half. We were contracted to once a week collection. We would almost never have it done on the same day, some weeks being done on Monday, others on Friday- often resulting in having two weeks worth of medical waste. Whenever we contacted the office about this issue, we would get told they will email the drivers. It never resulted in any faster reaction. Seeing as we were stuck in a 3 year contract, we just ended up investing in bigger waste storage and left it at that. Fast forward to November, we haven’t had a collection for FIVE WEEKS!!!! We phoned and emailed every other day and were promised a million things but nothing was ever done. Rachael who dealt with our account ignored about 10 of my emails. We asked to simply close our account but got told we would have to pay to get out of it even though they literally haven’t been doing their job. We were Finally told over the phone that we can terminate the contract back in December but we haven’t had anything in writing. We’re now in February, Rachael continues to ignore emails. Drivers are still coming to collect our waste and we turn them away each time as we have a new contractor in place. We even got a new bill from them last week!! Worst company I have ever dealt with.

Fantastic service from citron. They attend on time and know exactly what areas they need to go to without the need for a member of staff to show them on every visit. I was having a problem understanding the new contract and Gemma Atkinson was a massive help when she attended site to empty the bins. She explained everything on the contract and contacted head office to make relevant changes needed so I didn't have to do it. i'm sure this was out of her job description but she went out of her way to help me out. Many thanks Gemma!!
