City Code creates immersive online detective games for friends, couples, and teams who want to experience a mystery together. Instead of simply watching a detective story, players step into the investigation and become its main characters. You take on the role of a private detective in 1980s America, where corruption, hidden motives, and unexpected secrets shape every case. The stories are inspired by true events and designed to keep players involved from the first clue to the final decision. During the game, you explore an interactive city map, visit locations, gather evidence, meet characters, evaluate suspects, and decide where the investigation should go next. The open world includes more than 1,000 locations, giving players the freedom to follow their instincts and uncover the truth in their own way. The experience combines the collaborative feel of a board game with the possibilities of an online world. City Code is suitable for true crime fans, mystery lovers, board game nights, dates, gatherings with friends, and team activities. Up to six players can investigate together as one team, discussing theories and making decisions along the way. Our goal is to create memorable detective experiences that bring people together through curiosity, conversation, and shared discovery. Every investigation offers its own clues, suspects, choices, and an ending you may not see coming.

A great mystery experience with friends

This is probably my favorite murder mystery style game I’ve played so far. The biggest advantage for me is that there’s no waiting - whenever we want to play, we can just jump in.

I also love that everyone can join from their own device. We usually play with a group of 6 people, and with physical mystery boxes it can be frustrating trying to share printed clues. Here everyone can see what they need, which makes things much easier.

The interactive map was probably my favorite part. It’s really well made and adds a lot to the game. I would say playing on a laptop is much better than playing on a phone though.

I’d give the story 4/5. I really enjoyed it, but I’ve played a lot of mystery games and there are a few stories I liked more. Still, I’m excited for the next ones and hope they keep getting better.
