Extremely disappointing experience - poor time management and subpar cleaning quality

I am very dissatisfied with the service provided by City Housekeeping (as shown in image.png). I booked a 3.5-hour deep cleaning session for 10:00 AM.
The issues started last night when they informed me of a delay to 11:30 AM–12:00 PM, claiming vehicle issues. As I do not live at the property and had to travel all the way from Kingston, I specifically asked them to confirm that the cleaner would definitely arrive within that timeframe. They assured me it would be fine.
However, the reality was unacceptable:
I arrived promptly at 11:30 AM, only to wait for over two hours. The cleaner did not arrive until 1:50 PM.
Throughout this time, I had to be the one to proactively contact customer support for updates, as they provided no communication or proactive apologies for the delay.
Regarding the actual service, the "deep cleaning" was no better than a standard domestic clean. For a 2-bedroom flat, two cleaners for 3.5 hours should have been more than enough time to get everything spotless, yet the quality of work was subpar and frankly, I could have done a better job myself.
Given the unreliable scheduling and the lack of professional quality, I cannot recommend this company. Save your time and money and look for a more professional cleaning service elsewhere.

What a nightmare..

Organised an end-of-tenancy clean with this company and agreed to pay a premium price because I was short on time and wanted peace of mind, especially as I couldn’t be at the property during the clean.

When I checked the flat the next day, I was extremely disappointed. The property was nowhere near the standard I expected — I still had to remove visible dust piles from the carpet myself, several light switches had been left on, and all of the cleaners’ materials were left behind in the flat.

To make matters worse, the toilets were damaged after the clean and started running constantly, which forced me to arrange and pay for a plumber while I was abroad, as well as organise removal of their leftover equipment. When I emailed the company about everything that happened, they offered no support or compensation and were not even apologetic. The customer service was just as disappointing as the clean itself.

Paying higher prices clearly does not guarantee quality or care. Based on my experience, I would avoid this company at all costs

Was horribly ripped off

Was horribly ripped off by City Housekeeping. I paid for a 2.5 hour end of tenancy clean on my one bed flat. I was honest about the size of the flat and what needed doing- which should have been very straightforward and easily achievable within the time frame.

At the end of the 2.5 hours the boss of the company phoned to say the cleaners hadn't finished yet and needed another hours worth of payment or they would leave with the work incomplete.

It's worth noting that my flat was not in a filthy condition at all and there were no unexpected surprises in terms of the amount of work that needed to be done.

I had no choice other than to pay. So what was quoted as 232 pounds ended up costing 287.50.

In essence- even if you are entirely honest about the size of your flat and the work that needs doing, you will end up paying more if the cleaners are slow- otherwise they will leave with the work unfinished.

A completely dis-honest company who effectively grifted me into paying more than 50 pounds more than what was agreed for no extra work at all. Avoid City Housekeeping is my strong advice.

Terrible experience

Not informed cleaner would be late. Waited until the time I'd booked and when I called to inquire where she was as I was now running late for a doctors' appointment, told she'd arrive in 2 hours. I explained that wouldn't work as I had to leave. Had to call multiple times to rearrange the clean and was treated with lack of respect, including being told "this is so much hassle for just a house clean." Cleaning rearranged after several calls but I had to come back early from the doctor to let the cleaner in. On the way back I was called to be told the cleaner had arrived and already left because she thought it was an "unsafe area" (Hackney, 3pm in the afternoon). Totally shambolic company.
