Product received in good conditions
I was worried at first, as there were some hiccups on the communication with the seller. Nevertheless, the seller was available in my subsequent communications and after clarifying the matters the watch arrived by DHL Express as stated and in good conditions. I have received it only a few days ago so I cannot attest of its longevity, but the watch works fine for now and is an absolute beauty.
Just as a small feedback to the seller: the product could be packaged more securely with polestyrene inside the watch box (in addition to outside as was done), but overall well packaged.

Ordered a Seiko 5 watch
Ordered a Seiko 5 watch. SNK807 in black with metal band. 100 euros. Good price. The watch looks great. Better than the photos for quality. I also like the metal band which got some negative reviews. It's also long enough to fit my wide wrist. All good. I had several question about shipping and responses were prompt and polite. I would order from Citywatches again. Now just hope watch is pretty accurate and lasts 30 years. ;-)

no problem with the sale, apart from the fact i assumed i was buying from france (citywatches.fr, many sites owned by the same group all over..)but i wasnt,,, few days longer to arrive than i thought.probably came from singapore via germany or something like that, i dont know.my email request for tracking information that was not sent after my order was polite concise and timely.happy with citywatches,fr
watch is another issue, companies really make watches like this or is it counterfit? after coming from a seiko monster to this Luminox black out stainless, omg.. i dont even want to touch it, its nasty... feels rough, sharp and unfinished,and barely visible at night which is the whole point of this watch and indeed the last luminox watch i had was also invisible after 6 months.

Deception: there is no such french company, and added problems
We were in a hurry to order the watch for our son's birthday and we chose citywatches.fr because it was a french site.The watch arrived 9 days after its purchase. It is a beautiful SEIKO watch with a certificate stamped with the watches dealer "RSL". However, we realised after purchase, that actually, the company is not a french company "citywatches", but a company "REDSOL PTE. LTD". based in UBI CRESCENT, Singapore. All emails ending in ....@citywatches.fr are redirected to ....@redsolpl.com.
PROBLEM 1:
The french address "Bleu Ciel France" in Saint Maur, France, listed as a contact on their website citywatches.fr is not their address in France.There was no telephone given for BLEUCIEL FRANCE but I eventually found it and surprise , surprise, they did not know about CityWatches.fr, they are only a delivery company for many various companies. So in case of problem, there is no direct contact in France.
PROBLEM 2:
Luckily this time, the watch must have come from within the European Union because otherwise, we would have been liable for custom duty taxes (25% extra?), although this was not specified in our purchase receipt (but announced somewhere else on their website).
PROBLEM 3: Standard European warranties are 2 years long, but their warranty is only 1 year long.The problem is now to know whether we have a manufacturer warranty from the manufacturer SEIKO or a dealer warranty from the dealer "RSL". And we do not know in which country is located the dealer "RSL". Moreover, Seiko only accepts accredited dealers and RSL is not one of them.
CONCLUSION: Up to now we were lucky with delivery and custom duty charges, and we just hope that nothing wrong will happen to the watch during the warranty period.
BEWARE--> if you think that you are performing a franco-french transaction covered by europeans laws and with no extra custom duty charges by buying through citywatches.fr, this is not the case. There is no such french company called CityWatches.fr. Everything is remotely organised from Singapore.
