Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service - I complained Clarins foundation and moisturiser packaging. The new ‘sustainable packaging’ is peeling off leaving speckles of paint all over my skin, some even went in my eye. They told me I would not get a refund from the store. I would need to go to the hassle of sending them back the product and paying for the postage. For such an expensive product, I was very disappointed.

Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service, Late reply to email about voucher not being able to be used so missed offer. Complained and again unsatisfactory reply. Tried to telephone. Gave up after 40 minutes and non stop repeated message. Eventually got a call back and was told voucher would be reinstated. Received voucher for less than originally worth. Told complaint had been escalated and someone would ring me in the next 48 hours. 6 days later and still waiting. Also problems with atomisers that no longer work and unsatisfactory response then too. After 40 years am giving up on Clarins.

The shop wouldn’t exchange without a receipt despite the word Clarins emblazoned on the bottle. There’s no receipt as it was a gift.

Delivery service is also terrible and I have noticed a lot of the good reviews on their products have been left by paid influencers.
If you really want a luxury brand with brilliant customer service and products, I’d recommend Dior.
AVOID AVOID AVOID, unless you want to be called a criminal
Clarins products are amazing and I have been using them for a long time, but their customer service is just a complete disgrace. I placed an order in good faith for a men's advent calendar for my nephew and a blusher brush for myself. It was over a certain spend amount and a free gift was added to my basket.
Clarins then contacted me to say it was their mistake, that I should not have got that particular free gift, and they therefore cancelled the entire order and offered me a 10percent voucher with exceptional service for a new order :-) Oh how I laughed at the thought of them performing exceptional service.
Today they call me a criminal, citing a point in their terms and conditions that they have the right to cancel when there is suspicious and criminal activity.
What criminal activity have I done?????? It is disgraceful that Clarins staff are allowed to make such false accusations against customers. Ex-customers as I will find another company to use in future.

Virtual spa events/ facial
My sister and I were booked into a virtual facial on thursday 12th sept- paid £30 each. When we went to the link, it did not work and just took us to the clarins virtual events web site!
When we complained to customer services, we were incredibly arrogantly told that we were wrong and the zoom link worked and made it all our fault! I am so disgusted that is the response from customer services
I own and manage 2 software companies so I think I am capable of using a zoom link. DO NOT BOTHER BOOKING A VIRTUAL EVENT WITH THIS COMPANY.
I finally heard back from "customer services" who agreed (woohoo) after checking my link that I was indeed correct and they had not sent the link correctly. Astonishingly, to make amends, they offered me the chance to rebook at full price minus a £10 discount..........for a luxury brand this is not good enough. I hope this is just the work of one poorly trained member of their team.

Oh Clarins.. get it sorted!
I love Clarins so you may be confused by the low rating. This has nothing to do with their products because they are gorgeous. Expensive yes but I don’t use expensive shampoos or shower gels and my facial skincare is my treat! I also love the freebies you get online which often has some things I wouldn’t normally buy at all. My nearest counter is about an hour away so I order online to make my life easier……
However and this is BIG HOWEVER, their online delivery system is absolutely shocking! It used to be great but now it’s so bad it’s laughable. I understand that in busy promotional periods things may take a little longer but I’ve now been waiting over a week… yet again and no dispatch notification.
It seems unless you pay over £6 for next day delivery you are bottom of the pile and forgotten about.
You need to really sort this out because loyal customers are getting irritated and annoyed when yet again they run out of product thinking that 2 weeks is enough time to get it sorted.
I love you Clarins but even my patience is wearing thin. Your wonderful counter staff (when I get chance to go to the counter) and your products have earned you this 3 stars not you online presence!

I accidently spilt everlasting youth…
I accidently spilt everlasting youth liquid foundation on my trousers. To date I have tried every stain remover I can think of and it hasn't removed it. I loved this foundation, but it makes you wonder if its almost impossible to remove from clothing, what is it doing to your skin.

Absolutely shockingly long wait for…
Absolutely shockingly long wait for products. Ordered on 28th August,now 6th September and still not despatched. My advice would be dont buy unless you want a very long wait, lots of emails apologising for delays but no communication about when products will be received. This is a gift, its embarrassing. I cant get hold of customer services either, they dont answer the phone.

No dispatch, no refund
What has happened to Clarins?
I ordered on 27th Aug, products not even dispatched a week later. Requested to cancel the order due to delays- guess what- no response!
So they have my money and have not sent the products and are not refunding me. I guess I have to raise a card dispute with my bank.
A lifelong customer, but now I cannot trust them to deliver their end of the transaction.
Can anyone recommend a different similar brand to switch to?

Been trying to chase up with live chat and never get through to anyone.
Competitors much quicker on sending orders with much better customer service
Website states 3-5 working days which isn’t the case for a lot it seems

Amazing Products
I’m surprised to see such bad reviews! I started using the foundation serum after being absolutely desperate for something that doesn’t dry out my skin, doesn’t sit in creases, and doesn’t make me look like a cake. I had NO idea Clarins was this good. I bought 3 different shades now, and as I bought them at Boots, I got 5 promotional products for free.
Safe to say I absolutely loved them, and after thinking about it for a while, I went ahead and bought the eye serum. My skin changed after a few weeks, and my dark circles have improved significantly. People are telling me I look so well!
Now I’m using everything that’s suitable for my skin, and I just placed an order for the face serum! I also scan Clarins with the Yuka app and the ingredients and products are very clean, with great plant extracts! I’m super happy and won’t stop using these products, they really work for me. I glow!

Excellent customer service!
I visited the Clarins counter in Boots, Newcastle a few weeks ago and Laura was so helpful and her customer service skills were excellent. She was so friendly and advised me on the product she thought suitable and then demonstrated how to apply it.

Bronzer send badly packaged and broken up inside. Customer services not helpful
I bought a clarins bronzer compact and it was posted to me and when it arrived it was all in bits inside, not a solid bronzer like it should be. It had been packaged badly and broken. When. I contacted customer services they were so unhelpful and did not offer to replace for me and blamed post( even though they were responsible for packaging)
Waste of money as unusable like this..very expensive.
