I started Classic Curated because I saw a huge problem in how much waste was being thrown away when it didn’t need to be. Perfectly good furniture, clothes, books, and household items were ending up in landfill, when they could easily be given a new life. At the same time, people were struggling with the stress of clearances — whether moving house, downsizing, or sadly, after a bereavement. I wanted to build a business that solved both issues: helping people clear space while making sure as little as possible goes to waste. What makes us different is how we approach every single job. For us, “waste” isn’t waste until there’s absolutely no other option. We carefully go through everything — reselling valuable items, donating essentials like clothes, books, and furniture to charities, and only disposing of what can’t be saved.
