Be very wary of this company
I called out this company to clear a drain that I've had problems with before, so had used other companies in the past. They don't provide a price just a sliding scale of between £100-£250 plus VAT. I understand that you cant provide an accurate price over the phone until you see the work required. I waited in all afternoon and got a call at 5pm saying they couldn't make the visit and could they come tomorrow, which I told them I would not be home. I then got another call saying they were now coming as they were only around the corner. The guy (who was very nice!) arrived and said he had no water left on the tank, so used my water to refill. I asked him how much the job would cost and he said he didn't know as "he didn't deal with that side of things, and that I'll just get an invoice sent through by email". The job took 35 mins (including 10 min refilling tank)This morning I got an voice for £240. This is way more than I've paid before and so called the company to discuss, but was just dismissed as that it was part of their sliding scale of £100-£250 charges. Companies I've used before will come and quote you on the spot, and ask if you want to proceed. Be very aware of this company and its sharp practice.
