Such a relief at last to find an online shop that can supply me with Appletons shade cards! Although not an embroiderer, I've been using Appletons crewel wool to stitch felt without sawing through it as happens with ordinary sewing cotton. It's very hard to match the wool to the felt while we're on lockdown, so the shade cards are a blessing as well as absolutely luscious. I've wanted them for other projects for several years, but only recently have tracked them down to this very delightful and helpful shop. The boxed set of cards were sent within the time scale stated, and arrived a little slowly because of burdens on Royal Mail during the pandemic. Thank you so much, Cleopatra's Needle: my designing and stitching can go ahead with ease now!
