My daughter, Seen a car online and paid deposit paid delivery of the car, some things was not in the add, but we looked past the smaller things, asked for the documents had to send the payment and they are sent in 10 minutes then after an hour, called them he said I'm busy ill send them later, nu have the payment you should just send the documents and warrenty, ok he will send it in 10 minutes wait again over half an hour he sends the invoice, we wanted the log book to go tax it he said taxed for u for year told him thays illegal he said no it's not, so we said no just sent a picture of the documents ok in 10 minutes ok if u don't send it in 10 minutes we will arrange to send the car back and just get refund he will send it in 10 minutes so we wait again, my mother rang explaining you got the payment straight away u could send the money back and you can wait for payment until Yr ready he said I got other things to do, I said just send it ill wait on the phone he was mouthy and rude and said no you will not ill see you in court, so stay away from this company they take the money and don't send any documents there is more things like a boot that don't open sunroof don't open none of which was in the add, they have been reported to every authority including trading standards and App through the bank to retrieve the money was tricked to send it and told 10 minutes for documents well the driver was gone and that bloke has no intention of just sending the documents if he did the warranty it would have been in front of him which on its own sound extremely dodgy dealing

This car dealership is now closed I drove to it on sat 21st February 2026 only to find it closed all cars gone building empty gate locked

Bought a car just before lock down, the service from start to finish was excellent. I live about 250 miles from Morpeth, everything was organised over the phone and the car was delivered to my door a few days later, car has been fantastic and I would highly recommend this garage!

Where to start. We live as far west as you can get ie 10 miles from Lands End. The ordeal of purchasing and having the exact vehicle during the current travel restrictions was always going to be a challange. We found the exact vehicle at Clifton Car Sales in Morpeth (590 miles away). I spoke to Arthur who did a ful and professionall condition report on the vehicle and understood our situation. He arranged the vehicle to be freshly MOTd, Serviced, Undersealed and delivered. I could not believe the service given by this company. I would be lucky to get this level of service from a nearby establishment. The vehicle arrived exactly as described by a professional driver. Perfect.

I have today received my new VW beetle from Arthur at Clifton Car Sales. I live over 400 miles away and with Covid purchased the car at distance. I was put at ease during the whole process and was delighted with the quality of car that I have purchased. Both Arthur and Michael, who delivered my car, were very friendly and I never felt like I was dealing with pushy sales managers who don't care about their reputation, just what they can flog!

Evan's halshaw and other big car buyer ie webuyanycar.com eat your heart out and go and learn from a small company called Clifton car sales how you treat custom a perfect example of customer service I bought a car 7 month ago and had good service so I returned and bought another one I went to Evan's halshaw and was insulted with a little girl and her iPad trying to tell me about how it works I tell her how it works I take my business else where and she can stick her wee iPad up her silly we axxx Clifton car sales is wherein will buy again if in the market Mike and George helped me so I am loyal and will return if and when I am looking again I will always check the website Clifton car sales.com and if dont have anything I like I will phone Mike as have his personal number to see if he can source before I would even look at Evan's halshaw or other big dealers well not exactly true I will look and take a much info from them and use it against them to source cheaper once again I recomend Clifton car sales
