Horrible and unreliable as others have…

Horrible and unreliable as others have said and the support is a joke. Also, some serious security issues as well. This was in a recent Reddit post:
Be Careful with Tools Like AllClipDown—Here’s What They Don’t Tell You

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share something I’ve come across recently that might help you avoid a risky situation. If you’ve seen a tool called AllClipDown (or anything similar), you might think it’s a great solution for downloading media. While the tool itself might work fine, there’s an important catch they don’t mention—and it’s a big one.

Here’s the deal: tools like SafeMP3 (or similar websites) use proxy IPs to scrape and serve media from YouTube servers. This means the website itself acts as a buffer, taking on most of the risk when interacting with YouTube. There’s a solid reason why many sites don’t let you download playlists: it raises flags within YouTube’s security systems, making it much easier for them to detect suspicious activity and take action against those proxy IPs.

Now, here’s where tools like AllClipDown get problematic. Unlike online services, this software runs on your device and uses your own IP address to scrape and download content directly from YouTube (or other platforms). This puts 100% of the risk on you as the user. If you start downloading entire playlists or large amounts of content, YouTube’s systems may flag your activity as abuse.

What does this mean?

Your IP could get temporarily or permanently banned, cutting off your access to YouTube services.

Depending on your country’s laws, there could be legal repercussions for violating YouTube’s terms of service or copyright regulations.

While the simplicity of these tools might seem appealing, the risks are far higher than with web-based services that manage this for you. With SafeMP3, for example, the risk of detection is distributed across proxy servers, keeping users relatively shielded. But with software installed on your device, it’s just you and your internet connection taking the hit.

Here is how it works:

SafeMP3: Your Request->SafeMP3 server->ProxyIP->Youtube->ProxyIP->SafeMP3 server->You
Installed software (Like AllClipDown): Your Request->Youtube->You

It’s important to stay informed about how these tools work and the risks involved. If you’re thinking of using software like AllClipDown, be cautious—especially if you plan on downloading playlists or bulk content.

I purchased a lifetime license. The program did not work.

I purchased a lifetime license. I attempted to download some of my own posted Facebook videos. I followed the instructions exactly but the program stopped and did not work. I contacted support and they responded that there was something wrong with the video I had uploaded to Facebook and that they could not download it either. The suggest that for this particular video I try their online video downloader. I tried this but their online video downloader did not load and did not work. They also suggested that I try the program with other Facebook videos. I tried this and the program did not work with any of them. I asked if I could get a refund for my purchase and they did not reply.

Purchased the lifetime plan

Purchased the lifetime plan. The software worked great for about 2 months, then nothing. Emailed customer service for assistance, crickets! Not a peep, nada, nothing. I feel like I've been conned!

I downloaded and registered the current Clipdown version 3. Once the URL is pasted, the program is just stuck in the analyzing mode. The URL used was Youtube. Its just not working, I would like a refund.
