Clover is Charging a new fee to ‘keep your account safe’
Clover started taking $120 as a yearly fee ‘to keep your account safe’ after 3 years of not charging
This is NOT PART OF MY CONTRACT
When I tried closing my account they told me there would be a $500 fee PER MY CONTRACT
So I guess they can adjust the contract terms but their customers cannot. Beware aware of this because they will not advise you they are doing this.
Update: You will notice their reply is to say they reached out to rectify, but in fact they did not. Don’t be fooled by their auto response

I am very disappointed with the customer service. I spoke with multiple representatives, and none of them clearly explained the fees associated with the product. I was also charged a shipping fee for exchanging a debit machine that was not working properly.
Due to this experience, I am considering moving to another company.

Most basic and outdated tech
Clover is by far the most frustrating POS system I’ve dealt with. They distribute their devices through partners known for poor service and questionable practices. Once you’re under contract, support and accountability seem to disappear. Anyone wondering why I signed up should know that many businesses get trapped this way—and I’m just one of many. Supplying device which can only accept cash payment!

Misled,Not Responsible, Rude
Extremely terrible and frustrated experience!!! Firstly, I was misled by the Clover sales, who's name is Maryam Bin Yahya to order the device which is not suitable for my business at all, we received and emailed her saying we need to replace with the right device, she said no, no replacement, the solution is to order another one. Secondly, we never active the account, but our bank has been charged by months without any notice. I called the sales, she never called me back and never replied my email. I called in the Clover customer service weeks ago, the staff said she was not able to solve the problem, some colleague would call me back, I received a phone call Friday from Clover saying he would email me next Moday, but two Mondays gone, I have not received any email.
I called in the Clover customer service again today, and was transferred to the Loyalty customer department, the staff, he said his last name is Gean-Cadue, he is the account manager, the supervisor, he told me that the account only could be cancelled under the condition is to pay off the device. I told him the device is not the one suitable for us, your sales misled me to order the wrong one, it is unpacked, we never use it, also, we have never set up the device with the Clover , I will have to return the device. He is repeatly saying " pay off the device, then your account could be cancelled" I told him I need his help to solve the problem. It's not fair for us to pay for unprofessional sales practices. I asked him whoelse I can talk to solve the problem if he can not help me. He said he is the account manager, I can only talk to him. I said that please email whatever you told me on the phone, he said he would not do. He hanged me up.
Keep away this company if they still use these no work ethics staff.....
