Hands off this provider!!! Fake party!
"Late arrivals cannot be accommodated as the boat will leave promptly", this sentence in the e-mail seems to be a joke. We were at Millbank Millennium Pier as early as 7.45am on New Year's Eve. No sign of a boat. A tragedy for many who had to freeze for almost 2 hours in beautiful and not really winter-appropriate clothing.
About 90 minutes later, a boat finally turned up. We couldn't board because the police docked, boarded and inspected the ship. Only then did boarding begin. When we finally got to check-in, we were told it wasn't our ship. The security man directed us to a person who would clarify whether we were booked on another boat. This person scanned our tickets and said that we were not booked on any boat. He wasn't sure if there was another one coming.
Disappointed, we left after about 3 hours of waiting, without a programme for New Year's Eve. It was the same for many of those waiting, who had been looking forward to a nice evening and were now simply left without any advice or assistance.
We travelled from Switzerland especially for the experience of a New Year's Eve in London on the boat.
We wrote Thames Party Boats several times, because we want our money back. First they said it wasn't clear who was responsible. Now they won't get back to us at all. The fact is: the boat was having a Thames Party Boat flag. We think the party was a fake - one that cost us £300! Hands off this provider!
