2 worthwhile recent telephone conversations…
I had 2 recent telephone conversations with staff at the bank .One was with a member of the fraud team as I was making a payment and whilst I appreciate these checks were for
my benefit and security I started to doubt myself as it went on. However he was only doing his job and did it well with consideration and patience. The other adviser was helpful too . I didnt wait long for my call to be answered on this occasion as i must have been first in the queue at bang on 9am. I have been with this bank since 1976 and I wish there were more branches. There are none are near me.
I do miss the security of knowing there is a branch near me should I need it or even a pop up branch once a week.

I had fraudulent transactions on my account. Apart from the fact that the fraud team closed at 5pm and I had to call back next morning, I had excellent service from my customer advisor, sorting out blocking my card and ordering a new one, and refunding the lost money. Excellent fast service.

The co-op bank blocked my debit cards
The co-op bank blocked my debit cards, because they feared fraud. Although this wasn't the case, and it was inconvenient, I am glad to know that they do there best to keep my accounts secure. An quick phone call rectified the matter, in a friendly and efficient way.

Excellent efficiency. Savings accounts, interest, fees, maturation details, all handled most knowledgeably. I chose Coop Bank years ago for its ethical policy and the customer service is the best. First time banking applicants can feel safe as everything is so very well explained. They were there for me during the learning process and i am really on top and confident now.
