I started with CodeBreakers with a math background and very little CS experience. Everyone I interacted with was very helpful and patient throughout my nearly 6 months journey with them to find a job.

Beyond just the vast amount of learning resources and helpful interview tips, I think the most important part of my experience was that I always felt supported and had someone to talk me through periods of times where I may have been discouraged or unmotivated to continue the job search. Coach Darek always checked in on me at appropriate times to help push me and keep me motivated.

There's definitely a place at CodeBreakers for those who just who want to sharpen up their skills to be ready for big interviews with major companies, or those who need complete guidance to even get started on applications. I will be forever grateful for my experience with them.

Many of the coaches are FAANG employees, and can give insightful feedback on how to improve your interview game. This includes a 1 on 1 practice interview at least once a week, with honest and direct feedback afterwards, as well as study tips and company specific problems to practice for your next interview.
Referrals and recommendations from the CodeBreakers team are also a huge help, putting you in touch directly with hiring managers and bypassing the online application "black hole" that many large companies have.

Coming from a non-CS background, and with 0 work experience, I never imagined I'd land multiple job offers, and end up in FAANG. Coach Darek at CodeBreakers is THE most helpful person I have met in my search for a Software Dev job. I am a Math major so I am already at a disadvantage to all the CS majors applying for jobs out there. After trying for a full time position for over a year I joined CodeBreakers where they retaught me the fundamentals of Data Structures and Algorithms, computational complexity and many other things like how to rework my resume and tips for interviews. The most helpful part of CodeBreakers is the mock interviews that they do once a week in the weeks leading up to your job interview. I cannot stress how much this helped me by giving me all the confidence I needed to go in and crush that next interview. After more than 30 onsite interviews, I was offered the position at the first company I interviewed at after completing my training with CodeBreakers. Cannot thank their team and all the coaches enough. I owe them my future.

I started at codebreakers during summer 2019 and my aim was to get a software engineering job at the top tech 4 companies even though I had no prior coding experience, the mentors at codebreakers really helped me in developing my coding skills in a timely and smart fashion. Practicing various problems to having regularly scheduled mocks I was put on the best hands at codebreakers.

I started this past fall recruiting for SWE internships on my own. I tried leetcoding on my own, but on top of schoolwork, extracurriculars and a lack of experience with interviews, I was both aimless and fearful. Then I got around to prepare through CodeBreakers (CB). The CB team not only took charge in helping me prioritize the concepts that were most important and relevant to my interviews, but also helped me manage my time effectively based on my personal interview timeline. The coaches were extremely helpful and patient in helping me go step by step through important algorithmic concepts from binary search to DFS/BFS, while constantly holding mock interviews with me to prime me for the formidable challenges of thinking on my feet. By the end of my internship search, I was able to land four offers successfully before Thanksgiving (I worked with CB starting the first week of October). In hindsight, I would not have landed a single offer and would have still been recruiting had I not gotten the help I needed from the CB team. In the end, time is the most precious commodity, and working with the CB coaches really saved me a lot of time that I would have otherwise spent in vain finding my own study material, researching the concepts, setting my own practice timeline, etc. I am really grateful to have had the chance to work with Darek and the CodeBreakers.

I started my interview preparation process a bit later than others would have, but CodeBreakers helped me get up to speed and cover everything I need to know to ace the technical interviews. There were some advanced data structures and algorithms I never learned in school, but I was familiar with the materials within a month, thanks to the program's effective coaching. The coaches also spotted my weaknesses and helped me improve them, and I was ready for interviews sooner than I thought and landed my FAANG summer internship. Considering how much help I got, I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to land an internship without the help from him and the coaches.

I came from an Applied Math background so I understood the concepts behind data structures but never actually implemented them. CodeBreakers really helped guide me through the thought process behind the implementation. They have a go-at-your-own-pace structure which really allows students to focus on topics they don't feel comfortable with. After completing the CodeBreakers course, they will conduct mock-interviews to help you get comfortable with a coding interview environment, which I believe is invaluable.

Coming from a non-cs background, I started learning Algorithms and Data structures from the ground up. Darek guided me on the right path and kept me motivated in the starting days. Honestly, I never even thought that I will get an interview at top tech companies. Now, I got an offer from a FANG company. The mock interviews I did with the coaches were invaluable. The course is very structured and coach Darek helped me to create a roadmap from beginning to getting an offer from a top company.

One of the best resources out there to prepare for a software engineer career.

Darek and Derek are very supportive and encouraging. They not only know the topics they teach but also have a lot of patience to step through solutions and drive home the concept. The ample availability of mock interviews is a big positive, and possibly the best feature of CodeBreakers. If one has their aim fixed on FAANG with a good amount of time allocated to study, I'd say CodeBreakers would significantly increase the likelihood of success.

In April of 2018, I decided I wanted to leave my job in Finance and move to Tech. I had no CS degree, so there was a lot of ground to cover. Over the course of the next 4 months I studied the material and did about 15 mock interviews with Darek. By the end of July I had completed final round onsite interviews with 3 of the top big name companies, and accepted an offer from my top choice.

Darek was incredibly flexible with my schedule, sometimes doing mock interviews late at night after work when I had time. More than the interviews though, he was also a coach. He offered me invaluable advice throughout the entire process. Even after I had received an offer, he coached me through the offer negotiation process which was incredibly helpful.

Overall, 5 stars for sure. I couldn't have done it without him, and would use CodeBreakers again in a heartbeat.

I really enjoyed my experience with CodeBreakers. They helped to a lot in preparation for a swe role. From my classes I have only ever done Python, and then learn data structures in C. So this was a good mix of the two, and they know a lot of tricks for attacking those technical interviews. All the coaches are really friendly and understanding throughout the whole process.

I began working with CodeBreakers at the end of 2018. I was working full-time, and my free time was limited, but Coach Darek was able to work with my busy schedule -- I spent 3 months studying algorithms and learning from well-thought-out materials. Then, we spent 3 months practicing mock interviews and reinforcing my weaknesses with 1-on-1 coaching sessions. They really care about you and want you to succeed.

Before I knew it, I was in the interview process for several big-name companies, and received a great offer. I know I wouldn't be here if it weren't for CodeBreakers.

Codebreakers was the ideal fit, and indispensable to me in achieving this goal. The program is well-structured, with teaching and practice materials that span the space of algorithms, data structures, programming, system design and leadership principles.

The program is also rigorous and you are expected to schedule time every day/week towards achieving your study goals. It was not easy doing that while juggling a full-time job, but I felt that the discipline of working a little everyday was very effective.

However, their crowning jewel is their coaching team. I found every one of them - Darek, Derek, Ben, Allen - to be patient, rigorous and thorough in their teaching. If I did not do so well on a task or mock interview, they did not sugar-coat the message, but rather conveyed it in a kind manner, with guidance on how to improve myself.

Above all, they were empathetic. They understood where I was coming from, my limitations, and my aspirations, and worked with me to achieve them.

The outcome was that they helped me succeed. I will be starting in a coveted position in one of the FAANG companies, in a week.
