Unsafe for women!!
It’s so important to feel safe as a woman getting into a taxi, coach or minibus but you won’t feel safe with them. Their highly misogynistic and ‘women hating’ views, as well as their very public online abuse towards women from their business account speaks volumes of their unprofessionalism. Please do your research before booking. It’s quite scary to know they are that brazen and unworried about protecting their business. I’ve tried to attach one small snippet from the horses mouth about how ‘normal’ being a predator is and that women should wear burkas if they don’t want to attract the predator attention.

Your accusations are demonstrably false. You refer to the company as misogynistic, despite the fact that our business is primarily staffed and managed by women. These claims are not only untrue, but deliberately misleading.
It is evident that individuals with no connection to our business have been encouraged to post coordinated negative reviews in an attempt to damage our reputation. One named individual is based in Australia and has never used any service provided by our UK business.
As a direct result of this targeted campaign, members of our young female office team have received aggressive and abusive emails. This behaviour is unacceptable and deeply concerning.
All staff are fully vetted, and the serious allegations being made are entirely false. This matter has been formally reported to Trustpilot, and we request the immediate removal of these fraudulent reviews.
These individuals are not, and have never been, customers of this company. This is a malicious attempt to defame our business and harass our staff.
Unsafe for women
I would never recommend this bus company to anyone I cared about. Especially women! The owner is a massive misogynist who trolls social media abusing women, but when asked, claims to be a woman himself. Take your business elsewhere for your own safety. I will add since posting this review, Stanley has gone out of his way to look up my phone number and continue to troll me directly on my personal number through SMS and WhatsApp, and used name calling, sending me photos of myself to offer his opinions of them and suggest he would like to come and see me. STAY AWAY. I would not take the time to offer such a warning for no reason. Hertfordshire police have been consulted on the matter of online stalking and hate speech. I wish photos could be added to support my accurate and truthful review. If Stanley doesn’t want backlash from people wanting to offer their recommendations to avoid this company, he needs to stay off social media and stop being abusive towards women. Posing as a woman when asked, so he could gaslight and dismiss the issues of gender based violence on a social media post is absolutely unacceptable. I hope he learns from this experience moving forward

Complete customer satisfaction
We went to Longleat Safari Park yesterday 13th Aug 2025 and what a lovely trip it was. Our driver was James and his companion who were two of the most friendlessly and helpful men Applegates could have employed.
James’s driving is 1st class it makes one able to sit and relax
.
We also want to Thank Anne the bookings lady she is always so happy helpful and knowledgable.
Thank You Applegates Coaches for all the work involved in arranging the tours and pleasing your customers. We can throughly recommend you all.

We have used Kettlewell.s for 3 or 4 times
We travelled again on their Northumberland weekend,taking in Alnwick,Holy Island and other sights
This was a excellent weekend with no problems.
The driver was very good,and his banter made a good addition to the journey. The hotel was was faultless as was the food,
The staff were very pleasant and in conclusion,the whole package made a very memorable weekend

Bayliss travel. Professional and extremely friendly staff. We traveled to Somerset for a football match from deal. Lisa and Jeff were the drivers. Absolutely brilliant service. They were safe friendly and kept us informed about stops and timings etc. I have traveled with bayliss a few times and I can honestly say they are the best coaches and service you could alever need. Thank you to the company and especially to JEFF. and LISA. (hope I spelt their names right). I will always highly recommend them
