Then I found a supplier and maker of charcoal sticks I had tried before - Coates English Willow Charcoal. I ordered directly from them and the powdered charcoal was with me in less than two days. It is lovely to use and great to know that it comes from willow grown by a family with a long tradition of growing it in Somerset.
