Absolutely fantastic

Not bad, but a bit too much like school
I realise this was an introductory lesson but it felt a bit rushed and a bit scripted. Overall the concepts were interesting and the instructor did a good job to keep the kids engaged. The concept of the game that the kids created was not really covered and getting to the end of the session seemed the primary goal. Unfortunately a bit too like school and not enough like an exciting new hobby. Also a lot of parent involvement needed to get through the lesson, maybe a function of my kid only being 7, so I might consider something similar when they’re a bit older.

The preparations for the lessons wasn’t…
The preparations for the lessons wasn’t good enough. The email instructions wasn’t clear to follow and there was no mention of paying £17 for the Minecraft Java edition for a one-off trial until we logged on. The class was disorganised.

We're sorry to hear that you felt you needed to purchase a Minecraft license. We don't actually use any version of Minecraft in our free Taster Sessions, which your child took part in, or our Weekly Lessons, which the Taster Sessions are an introduction for. The program that your child used in this session was a free program called p5.js, which uses the Javascript language.
Our team is looking into this for you, as we'd like to understand at what point this miscommunication occurred. If you would be happy to share any further information around this, so that we can understand, then we'd really appreciate it.
I'm also of course very sorry that you felt the lesson was disorganised. We really do feel lucky to have some incredible teachers who deliver our lessons and so I can assure you that this would have very much been an exception and not the norm.
I can see that you have a second child booked in for another free taster session soon. I really do hope that they still attend as I'm sure you'll experience the level of service that we pride ourselves in.

The free trial lesson was amazing
The free trial lesson was amazing ! The trainer was very patient and made sure all the chikdren have completed the tasks before a new one was given. My son loved it and was showing off his creation to everyone!

Really Amazing
My son had an amazing first class. We did the free intro class, to see if he liked it before paying for the sessions. 10 minutes into the class, he had a huge smile on his face and tells me he definitely wants to keep doing more lessons. The Instructor was exactly what you're looking for in a teacher. She had a great, upbeat, demeanor. She was patient, thoughtful, caring and did a great job explaining things and keeping my son interested. Couldn't be happier with this service and immediately paid for sessions.
