An absolute scam
An absolute scam. Software companies usually notify you before renewal to give you a chance to cancel. I’ve cancelled the subscription as soon as I saw the charge was pending, and reached out to customer service for a refund. Haven’t touched this shitty thing for over 2 years. She refuses, saying that cancellation needed to be 24 hours before renewal. Now I am $300 out of pocket for a shitty product that I do not want to use, even though I’ve canceled it on the 14th when the renewal is on the 15th. But alas!!! It wasn’t 24 hours before as they listed in the smallest print there is.

Zero notice of renewal and it was…
Zero notice of renewal and it was double what I initially paid.
I don't know if any other service that takes that kind of amount without a courtesy notice a few days beforehand.
I feel they are setup to act in bad faith.
Have now unsubscribed but am down over a hundred quid due to zero notice of auto renewal (note this was for 6 months, not a year).
Having heard from Codefinity support have come to an equitable agreement.
I still think they should send a reminder of the impending renewal and payment a few days beforehand though.

Just a suggestion, instead of have the subscription continue and payment be ongoing, it would be informing if the subscribers are notified that a new subscription (another monthly payment) is available or soon to be available, giving the subscribers the choice to continue or to end the subscription.
