Very userfriendly and easy to buy crypto's. The fees are quite high though.
But after the response from Coinify I fully understand why the fees are high. And it's worth noting that the high fees aim to support multiple parties, rather than just for Coinify solely.

Wire transfer trade taking FOREVER
How did all of you get your wire transfer trades done in a day?
It has been 12 days since I contacted coinify, i am now on my 3rd round of compliance documents, they respond to emails once per day at 4 am USA time, making the whole process take forever.
They could have just asked for all the documents they needed at the beginning, instead they ask for 5 things one step at a time

I have discussed this with our compliance team and apparently, we are still awaiting the required documents for proof of source of funds (PSOF) from your side. Since we are a highly regulated entity in Denmark we always need to follow our compliance procedures and guidelines.

No way to reach them. BTC price way below market, not within any acceptable limit for slippage.
Basically a scam, but somehow the only choice on Ledger.

I would have given 5 stars if the rate…
I would have given 5 stars if the rate of the bought crypto is preserved. Using Ledger Live to purchase, the only way to pay Coinify is via direct transfer from bank as most credit card company just refuses transaction with crypto. No matter how fast an international transfer, it is at least 1-2 working day. By that time, it just revert to market rate and u bought at the mercy of market price.

Unfortunately, due to the processing time for international bank transfers—typically 1-5 working days—we are unable to lock in the exchange rate at the time of purchase.
Since we cannot be certain that a bank transfer will be completed, locking in a rate could expose us to significant financial risk if the payment is not finalized. For this reason, the final crypto purchase is made at the current market rate when the funds are received.

Crypto payment frustrations: A costly experience with Coinify
My experience with Conify was one of the worst I've had in years. If I had known beforehand that missing the 15-minute time window for sending crypto would result in a dead-end state requiring a refund, I would have never used their service.
In many situations, it's not feasible to guarantee sending within such a tight timeframe, leading to a frustrating user experience. I understand the goals behind their solution, but it's not mature enough to handle common scenarios. It seems they either didn't consider or don't care about these issues. As a result, I lost 20% of my initial payment due to nearly 10% gas fees on both sides.
My recommendations are to inform the users better, ask for an additional verificaiton step when payment options are choosen which likely won't be successful and have a dynamic time window depending on choosen crypto currency. The price volatility differs a lot between them, which the time window should account for.
Lastly, add support for Lightning network with Bitcoin! This is a must for a service where Bitcoin even should be considered
I am not giving 1 star since I actually received 80% ish of my payment, but the experience is definitly not more than two stars considered the major ossues to the payment flows and especially informing the user. Look at Coingate and how they are doing things!

Kindly note that we impose time limits on receiving cryptocurrency for several reasons, primarily related to security, volatility, and compliance reasons. By imposing time limits, we can mitigate risks, ensure smoother transactions, and protect ourselves but more importantly our customers against the inherent uncertainties of dealing with cryptocurrency.
Once a refund is initiated in our system it is very hard to intervene as you also experienced. This process works for most of our customers who simply collect the refund and initiate another payment.
We are, however, always working on improving user experience and your feedback is very valuable for us.

I have used Coinify's services for many years, both buying from fiat to crypto and selling from crypto back to fiat and intend to continue doing so. I am very satisfied, but I wish Coinify could add Swedish kronor SEK as a fiat option, then I would use the services much more regularly.

I wish I didn't have to use Coinify
Most wire transfers occur efficiently and quickly. Not the case with Coinify. Also, within the Ledger/Coinify user experience, it is unclear which company's technology is paramount, how to access user ID and passwords in either/systems, what to do if a transaction fails, etc. etc. I realize you are dealing with a complex regulatory and technology framework. But going forward I will try to buy 90% of my crypto in ETF form, not tokens.
