They are the best. Unlike Coinbase which doesn't even reply, they fix all your problems. The support is fast unlike other wallets like coinbase (doesn't reply) and spectrocoin.

A Deceptive Company with Unjustifiable Fees and Disregard for Their Own Terms

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service received from CoinPayments. I mistakenly sent BNB on the Ethereum network instead of the BSC network. While I acknowledge my error, the subsequent handling of this issue has been extremely disappointing and, frankly, appears to be an attempt at unfair enrichment.

Initially, I was informed that a recovery fee of 0.02 ETH would be required. This amount, approximately $90 USD at the current exchange rate, is exorbitant, especially considering that the actual gas fee for such a transaction on the Ethereum network is significantly lower, typically around 0.0001 ETH ($0.50 USD). My attempts to highlight this disparity and the fact that gas fees remain consistently low, particularly on weekends, were dismissed with claims of "standard fees" and "fluctuations" that do not align with market realities.

When I pressed for documentation of this "standard fee," I was directed to section 5.2 of their user agreement, which was unhelpful. However, upon reviewing item 6.3 of their terms, it explicitly states that the recovery fee for such cases is **$50 USD**. Despite this clear contractual term, CoinPayments continued to insist on charging 0.02 ETH, arguing that $50 USD is merely a "minimum amount," a claim that directly contradicts the wording of their own agreement.

This discrepancy, coupled with their refusal to adhere to their own published terms and conditions, leads me to believe that CoinPayments is engaging in deceptive practices. It is unacceptable that a company of this supposed standing would attempt to overcharge customers and unjustly withhold funds, especially for a minor transaction that can be easily recovered with minimal cost.

I find their actions to be a complete lack of integrity and fairness. My money is clearly in their wallet, and their refusal to return it or validate my purchase at a reasonable fee is unacceptable. I have spent months of effort to secure a funded account, and this experience has been incredibly distressing.

I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with CoinPayments, as their policies and practices appear to prioritize unjustified fees over customer satisfaction and adherence to their own stated terms.

Thank you for your message. Please note that when funds are sent on the wrong network, it requires significant manual effort and additional resources from our development team in order to attempt recovery. For this reason, recovery fees may seem high, but they reflect the time and resources needed to carry out these processes.

It is very important to always ensure that funds are sent on the correct network to avoid these situations in the future. Doing so helps reduce costs and ensures that transactions are processed smoothly.

We want to clarify that CoinPayments does not have the ability to take funds from any wallet. Only the wallet holder can initiate and send funds.

If you did not authorize or complete a transaction, then no funds could have been sent from your side. In these cases, providing us with a transaction history or transaction ID is the only way we can verify whether any payment was actually made through our system. Without this, we have no record of funds being received.

Please provide a ticket number so I can look into this.

Solana payment

A a buyer I sent the correct amount of SOL, the payment didn't complete. I contacted the support which is incompetent and useless. They said me to send again 0.02 SOL to "cover gas fee" (kindly remind that Solana gas fee is only 0.000005 SOL) and that they will refund it maybe... "in 24h to 7 days" or maybe never.

Time and money lost.

If you are a business that want to integrate CoinPayments or a customer that want to pay through CoinPayments, I highly discourage.

It's not the first time I get issues with them.

Also gentle reminder that for USDC (Solana) payment, you pay something called rent that cost you around 0.002 SOL (~0.36$) to send them USDC. This amount is 100% recoverable by them, but they won't refund it to you. So each time you pay via USDC, remember that you pay a hidden extra fee of 0.36$.

They finished by refunding me but they deducted 8$ for free. They literally stole 8$, I saw the transaction transferring the funds to their account, such a joke.

They will say that it is to cover gas fee as usual, but it's not possible to lie on blockchain unfortunately for them. For instance, the gas fee was just 0.017$, far from the 8$ which were just stollen. Be aware of this company!

If your e-wallet doesn't stand up for…

If your e-wallet doesn't stand up for the weak and stands with those who have copyright, then I have no need to use it.I do not like your wallet and I do not recommend it to others because simply if the user makes a wrong transfer, he will not get his money from you because of your high taxes and because you stand with people who own copyrights and marginalize ordinary users.

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that CoinPayments does not have the ability to reverse or retrieve funds once they have been sent to the wrong address or network. This is a fundamental aspect of how blockchain transactions work — they are final and irreversible once broadcast.

In cases where manual recovery is possible, it requires significant resources from our technical team, which is why recovery fees apply. These are not “taxes” but reflect the time and effort involved in attempting to recover funds.

We understand the frustration caused when transactions are sent incorrectly, and we strongly encourage all users to carefully verify wallet addresses, networks, and amounts before sending funds to avoid these issues.
