Collective helped me turn the lights on across segments of my business - understanding where I was generating profit and where I could cut back and invest less time. I'm the CEO of a business with multiple divisions and communities, I have no interest in managing the back-office. Collective handles all of that in one place exclusively for businesses like mine. I've also worked with them to bring financial education to my community so that other business owners can level up and become better CEOs.
It seems like Collective has been fine tuning some of their quarterly tax payment process. Much smoother than before.
Service was not what was sold. I was told that I would I have a dedicated account manager and that I could call in anytime for US based support. Not the case, onboarding was great but that is where the service stopped. Chatbot or message center for support. You have to schedule an appointment to talk to someone and the lead times are weeks out. When you do talk to someone they are clearly not US based. Not worth the money.
The idea is good but it feels like they sell you on the idea and then put their JV team in to do book-keeping and taxes. Bookeeping is a mess. Taxes will never put you in touch with the person doing your taxes but have collective be the middle man where every question you ask takes over a week for a response. If your a small company that wants an easy S-corp solution....this is NOT it. I'll update the review if something changes.

Onboarded with collective in 2025 as a first year s-corp transition. Terrible communication, no proactive oversight that they promise. At the end of the year now and foun payroll was handled incorrectly. They waited until December to address it. On top of that many issues with categorizations despite multiple requests. I have to go to an outside cpa now because they say they can’t do anything at all. Offered no compensation. Don’t trust them. They talk a big game and charge a LOT for nothing.

Collective makes invoicing easy to manage. I don't need to spend a lot of time, and everything flows with accounting.
Collective made it super easy to set up a brand new LLC taxed as an S-Corp. They have a knowledgeable support team that are highly responsive. The discounts they provide across various services you'd have to otherwise patch together make their fee extremely worth it. Very happy with this service and recommend it all the time.
The help has been amazing! I truly appreciate you guys talking with respect as some if not most of us are new to this.
My ONLY complaint I guess would be, being called other names besides my own. Twice this has happened already.

I've been a member for about 2 years. It's a decent platform and good idea but lacks in customer service execution. Seems their customer service for longtime customers is understaffed and under-trained, at least at the basic membership level. Response times on Customer Service request messages were decent at first, but have declined (as much as 2 weeks, usually 3-4 days). When I've made simple accounting requests (e.g., please add an accounting entry for Venmo fees I paid), it takes a month to resolve. The customer service staff don't seem to be trained in accounting, so they'll respond 3-14 days later with irrelevant information. It's frustrating. After I flagged the issues for her, my "Member Relationship Manager" was responsive and monitored my Customer Service message threads and trained the staff; this improved the issue temporarily. But the issues re-surfaced a few months later and now she's gone unresponsive for ~3 weeks. I rarely need human customer service, but when I do, I don't have the time to explain accounting basics to the staff. Seems I can save money and frustration by finding a CPA firm that does small biz tax, S-corp compliance and bookkeeping.
