Needed a taxi for midnight out in the countryside so pre-booked with comcabs. As many other reviews have said, they didnt actually book a taxi and never showed up. We were left stranded for 30 minutes while they searched for one.

If we hadn't managed to get a lift with a friend we would have been stranded in the middle of nowhere.

We booked a taxi ahead of time and received confirmation. On the day of pick up, the company called us 10 minutes after the scheduled pick up and stated they were still looking for a cab. We waited over an hour and 15 minutes before a cab was confirmed and had ended up walking (45 minutes) to our destination before the call saying that the cab was there. Customer service was very unhelpful and only “reserves” a time if you book ahead. They DO NOT book a taxi in advance. You have better luck going to the train station and hailing a cab in 5 minutes.

This is the worst company in the whole world!!!!! I had booked a taxi 6 hours before arriving at midnight at aberdeen airport. The taxi never showed up! Leaving a woman stranded at the airport alone in the middle of the night!!!! Stay away at all cost!

Dreadful, absolutely shocking. Booked my taxi for 7.20pm, it never arrived-kept fobbing us off with excuses like we're very busy, extremely busy, blah de blah. Had to cancel our meal which was booked for 7.30pm. Absolutely raging. No way to run a business.

Don't speak to them.. they're nosey squealing thieving cnts.. just let them know your destination and tell em your busy texting.. can't speak, so shut up and drive

Will never use this company again. Booked online the night before, and received confirmation of booking. I had allowed plenty of time to get to my destination, so wasn’t too anxious when taxi wasn’t there at specified time . Called after 5 mins and was played an automated message which said that they hadn’t found a driver yet and couldn’t guarantee when they would. If you have to be somewhere for a specified time do not rely on bookings from ComCab - their confirmation is absolutely meaningless.

Unacceptable delay

Was at an event at Trinity Hall, Aberdeen, evening of 6 Dec. Had booked taxi for midnight,(8461960) but did not arrive until 01:10. As it drew up outside the Hall, two people got in the taxi and it drive off!!!

As a result I had to walk home to get my car to take my companions and self home

Very poor service and not going to use you again!!!

Absolute cowboys, please avoid this company if you actually do want a taxi.

We booked the taxi a week in advance and it was excpected to be outside the airport within fifteen minutes of getting of our flight, however they had clearly forgotten about our booking and there was no taxi for half an hour. They kept saying they were close by and would be with us in a short period but still no taxi came. We had got of our flight at quarter past eleven and arrived outside at the taxi stand 15 mins later. We were all quite tired from travelling especially a kid just six years old. After wating around an hour and ten minutes com cabs said that they would be here in another fifteen minutes. Then about twenty to twentyfive minutes later the taxi finally arrived. This was a terrible service and we will make sure to never use com cabs again.

Awful booking service, the same dismal experience I've had a dozen times with them before, they either book in advance and don't even have anything available (we've been abandoned for hours before while they tried to claim booking hours in advance still doesn't guarantee they will be able to make the booking, to which my answer was why the hell take the booking if they can't make it)
This time their awful automated booking system made it tedious and they were busy, I had to call and jump through a dozen hoops to speak to a human because it wouldn't give me an estimate time even though I repeatedly called over about 20 min. Then I spoke to a human who told me it would be about 11 minutes yet.

11 minutes passed and I got a call from them. Expecting my taxi, no it was one of the staff telling me I'd be waiting another hour. Honestly atrocious. Why even take a booking with your useless automated system if you can't fulfill it for an hour and a half and on top of that why are your staff so bad at their job that they tell you the taxi you booked 20min prior will arrive in another 11 minutes if there won't be anything for over an hour?!?

All comcabs do is waste people's time and cause stress. I don't know why I bothered giving them another chance. At least this time they didn't leave half a dozen people stuck in the middle of nowhere.

I highly recommend against booking with them especially booking in advance, you never know if they're actually going to bother fulfilling the bookings they take.

The driver didn’t show up on time and when I called the company they said the trip had been completed. Tried to book another one, waited for an hour and then they just cancelled on me all together saying they have high demand.

Accepted booking 5 days in advance and then 1 hour before pickup text to say driver on way and then cancelled. left stranded in early hours of morning 40 mins from home. rude on the phone.

Booked taxi 3 hours in advance and they confirmed as booked via text at that time.
Called them as taxi had not arrived at pick up time.
Was told no taxi was available and that they could not confirm when one would be.
Eventually admitted that their system only makes bookings live 10mins before your pick up.
So the reality of this is that with ComCab that your ‘confirmed’ booking actually isn’t…..
Explained that this meant my wife and young daughter would have to walk home in darkness along unlit road - the reason for booking a taxi - made absolutely no difference to them.
A useless taxi company

Booked a journey to the supermarket then at same time booked a return journey to my home scheduled for an hour later as I thought this would avoid waiting a long time, First taxi to supermarket was at my house within 10 mins , but my return journey which I was on time for an hour later was late and waited an hour and a half outside the supermarket with my walking aid, I also didn’t want to go back in the store for a seat incase I missed the taxi, I received calls to my Mobile with automated message saying they where busy but working to get me a taxi asap which is why I held on to my booking for so long , eventually phoned another company and gladly I was home 15 minutes later, it was an unpleasant experience because I had my walking frame and I depend on taxis to get me places as it’s the only comfortable option with my needs and had no means of other transportation to get home.

There has been many times I’ve used service and no problems and all well , it just seems getting home is sometimes bad and takes long time to get a taxi, I’m not sure why.

I Pre booked a taxi for 4am to get me to the airport, however when 4am arrived no taxi appeared. After calling Com Cabs the automated service said it still had no available drivers. I then called again to try speak to someone, and was told my taxi is now booked and will be 15 minutes late (arrived at 4:20am). When complaining that this is not acceptable, I was abruptly told they are doing all that they can with limited cars in the road. Despite the delays, The driver was great. This is the second time I have had issues with this company and pre booking. Avoid if possible!!

Given a time frame of 5-10 minutes at 0925. At 0950 still no taxi and they advise that they need someone to drop off in the area. So they don’t allocate on the basis of who’s waiting they allocate if someone drops next to you.

Worst experience ever with taxi firm. I travelled to Aberdeen for family birthday dinner. Booked taxi well in advance to take myself and elderly mother to restaurant for reservation. Checked via app several times after taxi never showed up ( they don’t message or call you to inform you of any delays, arrival times etc), called and spoke to someone who said driver wasn’t assigned but after hearing we were going to be late promised to find a driver and send asap. Called again 20 minutes later (now 30 minutes late!) and was told still no driver assigned! Man on phone could not care less, no apology, indifferent towards fact that elderly woman now been waiting so long and were so late for birthday reservation at restaurant. I think they must be used to it. No choice but to cancel and drive myself to the restaurant arriving an hour late, totally ruined what should have been a lovely night. cannot express how much stress and disruption this terrible company caused and how little they care.

Terrible company ! You might have a fancy app that shows where your taxis are but when I book a taxi the day before I’d expect it to turn up on time and not to be chasing you to find out where the taxi is, only to be told it’s not even been allocated….just a total waste of space company ! Role on when Aberdeen gets UBER !

Absolute disgrace of a company I'm in a wheelchair and I booked a car rhe day before and they had me waiting 1 hr then I had to cancel. Disgusting telephone staff also an absolute joke
